Cheaper (refurb) and working perfectly

Got it cheaper since it is a refurbushed product. It is easy to install and ready to use. It is also slim if compared to other SSDs. I ran a HD test on it and it has no bad sectors nor anything that makes it different than a non-refurbished product.

Did not sell with the usual metal case for fitting in my desktop's HD slots, but since it has no moving parts and does not heat significantly, I have no objections to silver taping it over my previous 120Gb SSD.

Works like a charm

Has worked terrifically for me for nearly a year with no problems at all. Quick on startup and with reads and writes, and at a good price

Refurb = Checked twice!

I bought this SSD to try and breathe new life into an old Inspiron 1525 laptop. The SSD seemed like the mounting screws were 0.5 millimeter off (too short) or the SATA contacts were too short.., as I had a lot of difficulty getting the drive to plug...

Failed then came back.

There had been no changes to my computer in terms of software or hardware installations, I also had not been inside of my computer for a few weeks before the drive dropped, so it is unlikely it was a loose cable. I am going to contact Corsair and see...

This is an update to my EggXpert review. Device worked well for about a month and a half

Last weekend 6/6-6/7, while gaming the drive disappeared, The game (which was running off the SSD, this SSD is not my OS drive) naturally crashed. The device was not to be found in either the drive list, or the device manager. I rebooted my computer,...

FAST!

I didn't trust SSDs for years after having my first one fail in a month. I recently read that some manufacturers don't adhere to Intel's specs causing multiple problems. Seems the technology has ironed out the bugs for the most part, and this drive is...

Good midrange SSD

Warranty support from Corsair is pretty good. They're reasonably easy to get a hold of, and their swap out policy is pretty good. Also this drive carries a 3 year warranty unlike some others (*cough*OCZ*cough*) so you won't feel abandoned after the sale.

Good midrange SSD. It's not the fastest SSD out there, but you're not going to be paying screaming eagle prices for one of these, either. It's also not the slowest SSD out there, and of course you're not going to be paying dirt eagle prices. Its speed...

No mounting hardware included at all -- hope you have some screws handy

Misleading advertisement

It's a solid state. It's going to be good, but look at the other pro reviews before mine. Haven't spent enough time with it yet to tell you the good stuff

Advertised as having 240 GB. While technically true, you only end up with 223.5 usable gigabytes, all because the marketing team measures space differently than computers do ; The math ; 240 GB is approx. 240,000,000,000 (240 * 1,000,000,000) bytes ;...

first ssd

i thought i ruined the drive until i opened the case and touched it.

blindingly fast linux operation ; good value for the money spent

s.m.a.r.t. feature on mine is defective. incorrectly reports hdd temp as 100*C (212F) constantly. it runs cool to the touch, so it probably has a bad thermistor/ sensor
