OCZ RevoDrive 240GB

Read or review of the OCZ RevoDrive 240GB and see why it's our A-List pick of the SSDs.

For example, in the sequential tests the RevoDrive managed a write speed of 395.95MB/s and a read speed of 184MB/s. This is in contrast to the SATA 6Gbps based Vertex 3, which delivered 515MB/s read and 266.93 MB/s write speeds. In the 4K tests the gap...

works but very fragile

NOT SURE IF IT IS AN EXACT ONE OF THE MODEL BECUASE ITS RUNS IN MY PC BUT ITS REALLY A SET UP OF 4, 55 GB DRIVE AS ONE BUT NOW READS ONLY 3 DRIVES SO IT KIND OF WORKS.... SINCE ITS A REFURB AND IM OVER 6 MONTHS ...NO RMA AT ALL IVE TRIED REINSTALLING...

SANDFORCE CONTROLLER SIMPLE TO USE ; RUNS WINDOWS 8 NO PROBLRMS AT ALL ; COOL BLUE LEDS LIGHT UP WHEN IN USE ; GOOD FOR VIDEO EDIT AND GAMING ; ABSOLUTLY NO HEAT COMING FROM THE DRIVE

NOT AS FAST AS ADVERTIVED ; UPDATING THE BIOS CAME WITH TERRIBLE ISSUES ; SANDFORCE CONTROLLER LOAD TIMES IS SLOWER NOW AT BOOT ; NO LONGER READS AS A 240GB DRIVE ...NOW READ AS 180 DRIVE AND NOW HAS A FAULT 01 RED LED FAIL

Excellent

Great upgrade - I didnt have any problems with it but I see allot of others did.

Had no problems upgrading a Dell T5400 - installed, popped in the Windows 7 disk - pointed it to the drivers I downloaded for it that I put on a thumb drive and install went perfect - I was even able to keep my dual boot back to the XP installation...

Its PCIe - a SATA drive at this size and price point would be more flexable but I am not really complaining
