A hidden gem

 

I have over 20 years in the field and have had literally hundreds of drives and to day have had only one spindle drive and zero SSDs fail (knocks on wood). No sure what everyone else is doing to theirs.

When researching SSDs at the time, it was all about the Samsungs. I did not read a single mention about these OCZ drives but a "hot deal" is how I ended up with one. This drive is very fast. It is my Windows drive in a dual boot system. My OSX drive is...

None do date. Zero problems from day one and I had had it since first released.

Wish I hadn't read the great reviews and bought this.

 

Read all these great reviews about this product and OCZ. Lies. Now my boot partition went bad and idk anything to do except reinstall windows on a different drive. Not buying anymore OCZ drives.

Just Died After 3.5 Years

 

Mine died today after 3.5 years. I was just doing normal work and a blue screen popped up. Drive does not show up in the BIOS. Tested the port and power supply with another SSD and it checks out fine.

Good while it lasted. My important data is on secondary HDDs.

Failed too soon.

This is the worst product I have ever bought!!! I mean it.

 

Will never buy ocz product ever again!!!!!!!!!

It's fast when it works.

Where to start.......it will work for a while and it will totally mess up your data . I had installed at least 50 times Windows 7 64 bit OS on it and all the time I got CHKDSK then missing start up files then can't recover this was going on and on and...

Failed after 3 years

 

Should last longer than three years of use. Not recommended. I'm now using other brand SSDs.

Seemed reasonably fast

Used this as a boot drive for a little over three years. Then one day the BIOS no longer saw the drive. Tried reseating cables but that didn't help. Since this was used as the boot drive, computer would no longer boot and reported no boot drive present.

Worked but failed

 

Other SSD that was in the RAID0 was a samsung brand SSD which is still working today.

Good SSD, fast speeds, its what you expect.

Failed after 2 and a half years. Data was not recoverable by standard DIY methods, and was all lost. Was a part of a RAID0 setup as the boot device.
