Dead in less than 2 months

It was working perfectly (last night) until it was not (this morning it's a door stop). Verfied that it is in fact the drive. Wish I'd purchased a standard hard drive-- now I'm out the cost of this drive plus a replacement (has to be a standard hard...

It was fast when it worked ; 2.5-inch to 3.5-inch adapter included

Incredibly expensive for an unreliable drive ; 10 year warranty means nothing when 1) the product is as unreliable as this one and 2) you can't send back the bad drive because of sensitive data

Was fast until it died

Although the system performance was worth the money, I'm not sure if the headaches of having a drive give up the ghost and an unresponsive support department are worth it. Patriot's forums have several reports of drives bricking, but no solutions....

Very fast and responsive. When the drive was running, the system speed versus spinning disc was ridiculous

After about two months, the drive has completely died. Patriot has not responded to my support requests

Getting tired of this drive

Just tried to get on the Patriot Memory site to see if I could find out anything and can't connect to it, it's hit or miss even for there web site. I think this will be the LAST Patriot product for me.

Speed, when it works

This drive has a habit of locking up your computer and disappearing from the Bios. It's happened 3 times in the last three weeks. I can unplug the computer and it does come back after a while but what a pain. This doesn't happen to the other platter...

SSD Is The Future Now

I can't wait until SSD drives come down in price and go up in size.

This thing is fast. It makes the whole system feel more responsive. I about crapped my pants with how fast Win7RC installed from a thumb drive. Windows updates install like crazy. HDTune shows more than double the performance vs what I had. It has just...

The ata trim support isn't there yet from what I have read. You can do trim manually with their program but the drive firmware doesn't yet support the ata trim command. Hopefully it comes soon and in a non destructive firmware update. The other thing...

PS3 Preffered

Sony should start looking in to building these for the next systems or implementing it in with it, i also didnt purchase this here, i wish i would have because its 49 dollars cheaper here:P

First off I realized that this was 2.5 in, so i bought it and went to install in my computer and i noticed that it was exactly the same form of my old ps3 hdd that i have installed for extra space on my PC! a 500 gig drive is now installed in my ps 3,...

The price!!! could have went and bought another ps3 for the price:)

Short Lifespan

My first patriot product, i am not impressed.

Incredibly fast, a huge noticeable difference between normal HDD. comes with a 3.5'' bay so it can easily fit in just about any case

Died within 2 month. have to pay shipping charges to send it to patriot. No phone tech support(or if they do its way to hard to find) so i had a hard time finding out how to deal with the faulty product

Drive died

Sent the drive back as RMA, hopefully I will get one that works as the return policy for this is return only. I really don't want to pay return shipping on this every other week.

Very fast drive, quiet

It worked great for about a week. I woke up this morning (10.02.2009) and it had died. Couldn't access the drive, bios couldn't find the drive

Wow

I just replaced a 2 year old work PC: - Q6600 Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz - 4GB DDR2 800 - WD 500GB 7200RPM HD with: - Core i5/860 2.8Ghz Nehalem - 8GB DDR3 1333 - Patriot Torqz 128GB SSD I did significant benchmarks on real-world work activities - e.g. FPGA...

Outright game changer for how the PC feels. Everything is better. You will think of boot, installation, etc. differently with this instead of rotating media

Firmware upgrade is difficult - requires using drive as secondary unit, changing BIOS SATA mode to IDE, applying a jumper, and losing all data on it - all incredibly inconvenient

not ready for prime time

This unit comes in a retail package, and therefore should include installation instructions and software, like simple cloning software that comes with Seagate drives. The package includes no help on what size allocation units to use, how to "align" it,...

Fairly fast, small, lightweight, cool, quiet ; 2.5" to 3.5" adapter bracket included ; 10 year warranty ; Makes computer somewhat more responsive and makes Adobe CS4 Bridge MUCH faster and Photoshop significantly faster

Installation instructions inadequate, and software nonexistant ; Died after a little over a week of mild use

GET ONE!!

" Gripping the wheel his knuckles went white with desire The wheels of his mustang exploding on the highway like a slug from a .45 True death: 400 horsepower of maximum performance piercing the night This is black sunshine "

Imagine yourself 15 years ago with that brand new, hot off the shelf 486DX4 100 MHz processor that you just got with a whopping 12 meg of ram! It was the fastest thing you'd ever seen. Then pretend you were hurled into the future and instantly upgraded...

For the performance gains that I got, I dare not complain about the price
