For those who want Sonos capabilities in a speaker that meets a slightly higher standard of audiophile performance, the Bluesound Pulse M is a worthy choice.

Tons of inputs Wired/wireless headphones capable Crystal-clear sound Plenty of app-based controls Lossless, 24-bit/192kHz support

Pricey for its size No built-in voice assistants Missing support for some major services

“Powerful, and detailed, it's a versatile speaker for demanding listeners.”

Bluesound Pulse Soundbar and Pulse Subwoofer review: Reference sound and outstanding streaming features

This soundbar/subwoofer combo is for audiophiles and cineastes who can afford to indulge their craving for refined, dynamic sound.

Simply outstanding music and movie performance that will rival some free-standing two channel setups ; Excellent mobile and desktop apps with support for a wide variety of cloud and network music sources ; Supports the addition of wireless left and...

If put on a tabletop, soundbar's height might block some of your TV's screen and its IR receiver ; No HDMI or IR repeater ; Pairing the soundbar with the subwoofer makes for a price combo ; No remote control ; Pairing the subwoofer with the soundbar...

Spending $800 on a soundbar—$1,400 on a soundbar/subwoofer combo—is a significant investment by any measure. You can certainly buy cheaper solutions, but you’ll be hard pressed to acquire a more satisfying one. If you’re the type of person who looks at...

Review: Bluesound Pulse Soundbar | The Most Accomplished Bluesound Pulse Soundbar

Bluesound's soundbar costs a bit more, but pays off in the form of a much better experiences on both film and music.

Very powerful sound, even without a subwoofer, timbre balance is great and user-friendliness very good.

There could also be even more air at the top.

The Bluesound Pulse Soundbar has great power, and sounds tough for both movies and music. The dialogue is huge and clear, and there is plenty of oomph in action movies, aplus the rhythms in party music come out well. Along with the subwoofer, this will...

Bluesound Pulse Sound Bar

Part of the Lenbrook Group of Brands that also includes NAD Electronics and PSB Speakers, Bluesound is now in its second generation of gear and continues to use the 50 years of audio expertise from its related companies to its advantage.

Fantastic, room-filling 2-channel audio performance Comprehensive app control Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, optical, and analog connectivity Supports additional wireless subwoofer and surround speakers

High profile makes placement with many TVs difficult No dedicated remote control or on-unit buttons No HDMI connections or video pass-through On the pricey side for a stereo sound bar

Bluesound Pulse M review: a wireless speaker to be reckoned with

A clear Sonos competitor, treat the Bluesound Pulse M with respect and it'll treat you with great audio

Substantial, insightful and enjoyable sound ; Built, finished and specified to compete ; Good control app

Not the most affordable option ; Capable of sounding musclebound ; Fractionally vague soundstaging

Not, despite appearances, a smart speaker - but the Bluesound Pulse M is nevertheless a wireless speaker to be reckoned with. Treat it to the quality of content it demands and it’s a very rewarding listen.
