Energy Take Classic 5.1

The Energy Take Classic 5.1 is a beautifully designed speaker set and a solid choice for home theater systems in small- to medium-size living rooms.

Stellar sound quality for the price. Surprisingly seamless transition between subwoofer and satellites. Beautiful black gloss finish

Subwoofer is very sensitive to placement, though that's true of most similarly designed systems

Fortunately, the Energy Take Classic 5.1 system avoids the above pitfalls. It delivers stellar performance, especially considering its reduced $400 price. In my tests, the satellites sounded clear and transparent, with a surprisingly natural-sounding...

Energy Take Classic Speaker System Review and Prices

Energy's Take Classic series is a throwback to their tried-and-true Energy Take system which all but dominated the home theater speaker market years ago. Far from being a trendy system, the Energy Take system was a robust, almost overbuilt speaker set...

Unbelievable value and performance

Energy Take Classic 5.-1-Channel Speaker System

The Take Classic 5.1-channel system ($800) from the Canadian firm Energy has the distinction of being the lowest priced surround system in our survey, but don't let that fact dissuade you from giving it serious consideration. Energy, you see, has a...

But let me be clear; given its compact size and modest prize, the Take Classic system is a mighty impressive performer. In terms of tonal balance it is one of the most honest and uncolored systems in our survey and its imaging and soundstaging...

Energy Take Classic

The Energy Take Classic is a sharp, winning surround sound system. We like the way it looks, the way it sounds and the price tag. Even if you don't get a chance to test out these speakers for yourself, you will like what you get from this product. It...

This home theater speaker system performs admirably with both music and movies

The warranty is not as comprehensive as it could be. The amp gets only one year of coverage after purchase

This speaker system comes with a history of good performance, reliability and hi-fi sound.

Best value home-theater speakers

Headbangers and those who like to hear their music and movies in the next area code would likely be better served by beefier and more expensive home theater speakers. For everyone else, experts say the Energy Take Classic 5.1 delivers incredible sound...

Great sound quality, great value, uncolored sound reproduction, excellent performance with music

Small sweet spot for best sound quality, sound quality decreases at high volumes

Excellent Speakers for an Excellent Price

If you're looking for a 5.1 system that won't break the bank, look no further.

I picked these up on sale for $300, but they're easily worth their full retail price. The speakers are much smaller than other systems I've seen and owned, but you would never know from the sound quality. Full rich sound throughout the room, excellent...

They perform good considering

I have them in a pretty large volume room 12x22 room with 20 foot ceilings. The satelites do a respectable job but as you might imagine, I needed a bit larger sub or a second smaller one given the size of the room. Sub placement really matters. If the...

Inexpensive, the speakers sound clear even at higher volumes. You say 'Energy' to folks and they overlook that this is a small satelite set as the Takes are widely regarded

Wife hates the look of them but she hates everything dealing with technology. Sub arrived with minor chip on edge

Great high quality sat speakers

I had to sell the subwoofer because it wasent powerful enough for my big room with open walls. Not saying the sub included here is bad, its good. I should've gotten a 5.0 set but had already purchased this when it went on sale for $299 and got a BIC...

These speakers sound great. Great to start out on new home theater system. The high gloss finish really makes them attractive looking
