Harman Kardon Aura

The Harman Kardon Aura is a great-looking, great-sounding, one-piece wireless speaker system.

Powerful, clear sound. Attractive design. Lots of connection options

Awkward touch controls on the speaker itself

The Harman Kardon Aura looks more like a work of art than a speaker, but it can do the job of both. While the $399.95 device looks striking, with a clear, curved dome and subtle lighting, it's also a functional and powerful wireless speaker that...

Harman Kardon Aura review

The Harman Kardon Aura may look like The Jetson's spaceship has collided with a ultra-modern kitchen blender but this quirky design housing is actually a wireless home speaker.

Space-age design looks great, excellent sound quality at all volumes, loud output warm bass sits perfectly in the mix, great separation, omni-directional output produces all-encompassing sound

Occasional erratic volume behaviour after turning on, always seeking Wi-Fi network can interrupt Bluetooth connection, design won't suit all

Harman-Kardon Aura

A stunning looking speaker, but one that doesn't have the ‘wow' sound or usability to boot

Creative design ; well built ; Tonally balanced ; Room-filling sound

Lacks detail and dynamics of rivals ; Loose bass ; No dedicated remote ; App lacks features

Had this test been all about looks, this speaker would have bagged five stars – no problem.

Harman Kardon Aura

Meet the Karman Kardon Aura, a speaker system that looks more like a NASA-designed deep-fat fryer than a high-end audio product, but we can assure you it's very much the latter. Harman Kardon is known for its tip-top sound quality and extravagant...

Space-age looks make for equally epic sound, and the Harman Kardon Aura delivers on both fronts, making it a very attractive speaker system for your home. It'll surely be a conversation starter, but its price and lack of decent buttons might not be...

Beautiful design and great sound without blowing the budget

Finding a decent all in one speaker system that looks as good as it sounds is surprisingly difficult. Add a limited budget, wireless streaming as well as the need for a conventional aux-input option to the wishlist and there are very few choices left....

Great design, easy set-up, supports many different types of connections across lots of different devices, nice sound
