Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus review: A game of sequels

Apple gave the world the tablet. Samsung gave the world a choice. It's not as simple of course as narrowing it down to an iPad vs. a Galaxy Tab. Nearly every phone maker out there has a tablet to offer. But the fact is that whatever size you want and...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus review

The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus doesn't quite fill the footsteps of the larger 8.9 and 10.1, but is a great little slate in its own right.

Samsung GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus / P6200

The Samsung GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus is here to succeed the original GALAXY Tab, which pioneered the 7-inch tablet form factor back in 2010. It features a PLS LCD display with 1024 by 600 pixels of resolution and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor....

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a high-quality, Google Android Honeycomb based tablet.

Fast. Makes it easier to find Honeycomb apps. Attractive UI adds useful features.

Remote app doesn't work well. Honeycomb still lacks tablet-oriented apps.

Conclusions There are a lot of very similar Android Honeycomb-based tablets on the market. The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is more expensive than the Acer Iconia Tab A100 ($349.99, 4 stars); it's also faster, slimmer and more elegant. (The Iconia got a higher...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus review

"Samsung's tablets are like fitted suits. There's bound to be a size that fits everyone perfectly." It's not a line I can take credit for (kudos go to an anonymous friend), but I'd be remiss not to...

Slimmer, sleeker look ; Fast dual-core processor ; Peel smart remote app has potential

Screen still has too much glare ; Mediocre viewing angles ; Better spec'd Tab 7.7 coming soon

A worthy but imperfect upgrade

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus review

Editors' note: Thanks to the release of recent, high-quality tablets, the overall score of the Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus 7.0 has been adjusted down from 7.1 to 6.5.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus ( soon upgradeable to Android 4.0 ) has a sleek design, a high-quality screen, and well-integrated smart remote-control functionality through the Peel app.

Peel has limited usefulness if you don't have cable or satellite, and the tablet's screen brightness is comparatively low.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is pretty and sleek, with well-implemented remote-control functionality, making it the best 7-inch Honeycomb tablet yet.

Review Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus N Tablet/MID

Beautiful gap filler. A tablet fills the gap between Notebook and

Small size; Low weight; Telephone and UMTS module; High build quality

Moderate brightness; HDMI only via adapter; Bad cameras

In this size category, competition is lacking. Hence, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus N mostly had to duel it out with larger tablets, like the Acer Iconia Tab A200, Motorola Xoom 2 MZ616, Medion Lifetab P9516 32GB+3G und Apple iPad 3rd Gen. 2012 4G.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Review

Peel Smart Remote App functionality, Solid build, Well-rounded performance

Pricey

On the surface, there isn’t a whole lot new to experience on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus that we haven’t seen before – especially when the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 offer the same predictable Honeycomb experience. However, we do like the fact that it...
