Panasonic Viera TX-L42E3B

We struggle to find a compelling reason to buy the biggest screen from Panasonic's new entry-level E3 series.

Nice looking set for the money ; Rich, warm colours ; Impressive backlight consistency

Not cheap enough ; HD doesn’t look particularly sharp ; Very limited multimedia support

Not surprisingly with no real online functionality, the set doesn’t support Wi-Fi, and the lack of any USBs also clearly means the L42E3B doesn’t join the E30B series in offering recording from the Freeview tuner to USB HDDs.

Panasonic TX-L42E3B review

Panasonic fails to keep up with the budget TV Joneses on features

Easy on the eye ; Delivers video-friendly colour balance straight out of the box

HD images look soft ; Pricey considering lack of features

Panasonic Viera TX-L42E3B

Picture is good, better than the Sony in other room, but response is better than Panasonic.

Using the guide, everything shuts down, and it takes ages to come up, very slow response generally.

Great Buy

No techies in this house so we read lots of tv reviews. Panasonic seemed most reliable. Got the 42" because it was on sale. Sports and nature are fab on the 42". Don't need to don glasses to read subtitles either :) Extremely pleased.

Excellent Purchase

I am delighted with the product on every level, delighted also with the price - I would say one of the best buys I have ever made. I have to commend Argos in offering this product their service was excellent and staffin the shop extremely helpful.

Very Happy

Very easy to set up, connectivity brilliant - had no difficulty routing it through wireless enabled bluray player straight into hub and onto internet

Viera Is the best

Got this a week ago now (along with SKY HD) just to watch SKY F1 and it is fantastic, the LED shows vibrant colours with no motion blur. The Viera is very thin, not heavy and comes with a sturdy base. Also hooks up well to the Samsung HTD5100 5.1 1000W...
