Panasonic TX-L47DT65B review

There's no shortage of internet-enabled smart screens available, but the Panasonic TX-L47DT65B stands out from the crowd, thanks to a great user interface and refined usability

Shard-sharp cosmetics ; Versatile My Home Screen ; Solid HD performance

Poor black levels ; Weedy audio ; Limited catch-up TV services

With its sharp design, excellent connected features and undeniable funkiness, Panasonic's TX-L42DT65 should be considered a solid upmarket flatscreen choice. We continue to be impressed by the My Home Screen user interface, and with more themed...

Panasonic TX-L47DT65 review

There's something imperious about the Panasonic DT65. Perhaps it's the super-thin bezel and jet-black screen, or the aloof high-necked pedestal. Or maybe it just knows it's smarter than everybody else? Whatever the reason, this is certainly not an...

Elegant design; twin tuners; My Home Screen UI; app integration

Backlight inconsistencies; patchy media file playback; can be prone to motion artefact

Panasonic TX-L47DT65

Is this 47-inch TVs beauty more than skin deep?

Gorgeous space-saving design ; Sharp, clean pictures ; The My Home Screen interface is excellent

It's a bit expensive ; Native contrast performance is below par ; Local dimming system lacks finesse

Some of the features in the picture set up menus need to be treated sparingly too. For instance, the noise reduction tools are a no-no with HD sources, as they leave the picture looking soft and processed. The Intelligent Frame Creation system isn’t...

Panasonic TX-L47DT65B review

This TV has a good range of inputs and great smart TV content, but you'll need to tweak the picture settings to get the best out of it

Panasonic TX-L47DT65B

It has its drawbacks, but this Panasonic is easy to live with and has an insightful and dynamic picture performance – it's a great set

Crisp and wonderfully clean picture ; Bright, punchy whites ; Smooth motion ; Passive 3D is detailed and comfortable ; Impressively easy to use smart features ; Voice interaction is better than rivals

Slight yellow tint won’t be to everyone’s tastes ; Sound could be warmer and more substantial ; Only three HDMI inputs

Amazing picture quality, even the 3d. Plenty of settings to get everything right. Follow the calibration guide on avforum to get a proper set up

The internal sound is not so good, an external amp is a must to justify the picture quality if watching movies. This works well with arc over hdmi or optical output to a surround sound amp
