Review: Panasonic Viera TC-37LZ800 LCD TV

 

Not the cheapest LCD, but capable of putting out a vivid color representation to every seat in the house.

Recently viewed their supposed one million to one next to a budget Sharp at 10K:1 in normal showroom brightness and the blacks were better on the budget Sharp in the light of day - the Panny CR is nocturnal and no presence in daylight.

Wow

 

Very glossy. Make a sign so the UPS driver knows your driveway is nothign but MUD otherwise it will take him half an hour to get out.

Crystal Clear picture ; Plenty of Hook-Ups ; Made my Hubby Happy ; My Husband hasn't been this impressed with a tv since he played super mario brothers on a 52" projection tv years ago. I hooked up the ps3 with an hdmi cable and we watched the 1...

It was half an inch too big for our entertainment center but i knew that so not really a con but hubby was disappointed

Great TV

 

First time buying TV online was scared how ups would handle product but received box in great condition

Great Picture quality, 1080p, nice viewing angle, good connection options (3 HDMI connections), playing ps3 games and blueray discs are amazing, nice and light esp compared to 30" crt hdtv. Just a real nice TV

not 24 hz like the UK version of tv but not really a bad thing, This tv has a glass screen for better black lighting so if there are little ones may have to wipe finger prints off, also not really a con but the buttons to control tv are on the side but...

A Well Rounded LCD - For a first time HDTV buyer

 

The screws that came with the wall mount I purchased, were too large for the mount holes on the back of the set. I contacted Panasonic, they said the proper screw size is M4x12. I got this set to hang up in my room to play my PS3, to hook my lappy up...

After extensive research on various LCD sets, this Panasonic stood out above the rest. I was looking for several things in a set: Viewing Angle, Picture Quality, and Lag for video games ; Other LCD's that I went to stores to look at did not impress me....

As with most LCD sets, the speakers do not provide a booming, theater like sound quality. I currently have my shelf system hooked up to it via component cables, but I plan on purchasing--from NewEgg--a HTiB or receiver to hook up using optical digital...
