Sharp LC-32G4U 32 HDTV

One of two LCD TVs we tested for our April 2005 LCD TV roundup that offered 1366 by 768 resolution (the others had 1280 by 768 resolution), the 32-inch Sharp tilts and swivels slightly but has no height adjustment.

The set's picture-quality scores on most of our tests, including brightness/contrast and DVD content, were about average. But in our standard-definition test, the Sharp ranked significantly below average. Still, if you don't mind making adjustments to...

Sharp Aquos LC-32G4U

High-resolution TV has independent adjustment controls and an elegant design, but its picture quality didn't bowl us over.

Strong feature set and well-conceived design are vitiated by so-so picture quality.

Sharp LC-32GA4X AQUOS

Wide range of outputs, good image quality

Takes a little time to learn the on-screen menu

The screen offers a wide range of inputs and outputs with good image quality. Clean styling creates lounge-room appeal.

Sharp Aquos LC-32GA4X

The Aquos LC-32GA4X is a solid performer, combining crisp, clean pictures and good overall performance.

Excellent picture quality. Integrated speakers. Easy to use menu system.

Best viewing angle between 130 to 150 degrees. Speakers offer “virtual” surround sound. Not a lot of advanced features.

The Aquos LC-32GA4X is a solid performer, combining crisp, clean pictures and good overall performance. With the attached speakers and Dolby Virtual Surround sound, it is a great fit for those who want to get started building a home theatre but don’t...

Excellent product

This Sharp TV, and likely all of its close cousins in various sizes and speaker configurations, is a truly excellent product. Everything about it is superior, especially the picture and sound quality, build quality, visual style, number of inputs, and ...

Consumer review (epinions.com)

Excellent picture, but better control of aspect ratio would be nice.

Outstanding picture; good dynamic range, vibrant colors, minimal ghosting. After setting color temperature to a low number, there was almost zero tweaking to get the Digital Video Essentials test images to balance and match appropriately. The ...

Just 4 Months Old and Broken Seems to be a Trend

I have had my Sharp Aquos LC-32G4U for about four months and am wishing I had bought the Sony or Toshiba. The packaging was decent and the setup was fairly user friendly. The first thing I noticed was that the control unit fan is annoyingly loud when ...

Styling, Looks great, Nice remote, Nice Sound System of course only when it was working
