Logitech has launched two new HD recording webcams, namely the C310 and the C525. We received the C525 for testing, which features 720p video recording, a compact folding stand and new Logitech webcam software that offers entertaining photo and video...

Logitech recommends that you have an Internet connection of at least 1 mbps for smooth video chat. Mac users are out of luck as the webcam doesn’t support Mac OS. Aside from that, the C525's only real drawback is the exorbitant price tag of Rs. 2,995.

What we really want from a webcam is excellent video quality and worry-free communication with friends and family in a compact, affordable and fun package. Even with a few minor weaknesses, including the lack of wide-screen capture, Logitech delivers...

The video effects are so much fun to use and offer a nice way to personalize your communications

This camera offers many visual effects but no audio effects, and it lacks wide-screen capture

The Logitech HD Webcam C525 gathers some great-looking video and is travel ready and fun to use.

Still going strong for over 2 years

Right out of the box this webcam gives very good results. If you want all the gadget-y special effects and avatars you should install the rather large Logitech Webcam Software (LWS) .... but be sure to download the latest version from Logitech.com...

Works with Windows 7 or 8 generic drivers, just plug it in ; Good low light performance (but not in dark room!) ; Very good color in good light ; Crisp clear sound from built-in microphone ; Can swivel left and right

USB cord is OK but would like to see all webcams have longer cords

Pretty good for a cheap webcam

Logitech never fails to impress with quality webcams, and this one was no different. The software suite is good and the camera quality is very nice. The microphone has good pickup as well. All in all, for $50, it's a good choice for a webcam.

Inexpensive ; Easy to setup ; Useful tools ; Great image quality

Short cable ; Awkward mount, but still useable
