A few tips

To maximize cooling effects, 1). shorten the exhaust pipe; 2). insulate it; 3) blow the air upwards; and certainly insulate the whole space, block direct sunlight, and get rid of heat sources as much as possible. It's a decent product.

Sound NanoMist technology; Reasonable performance; High (and hopefully accurate) energy efficiency

Not the worst but still noisy; Window panels for installation not long enough

It's okay

12k BTU systems are supposed to be rated for rooms upto 400 sq ft. I would imagine that size room would have to be very well insulated and have few if any heat sources for this unit to cool it. This system is probably more appropriate for 150 to 200 sq...

Looks nice. Small. Easy to assemble. Easy to work. Works well in augmenting a central AC system cool a very warm room

Doesn't cool as effectively as a I thought ; A little louder than I hoped even when the compressor is off. I have a 12" casablanca table fan that operates on high and isn't half as loud as the fan from this unit

When it's hot, so's the AC

We should, and now will, go with our first inclination to purchase a swamp cooler.

Order was processed and unit was shipped quickly

If one wants to cool an area with high temperatures, in our case our Arizona houseboat, the heat sensor shuts the unit down before it can cool. At 100 degrees, the unit ran an average of four minutes before shutting the compressor off while the fan...

It is what it is

I had chosen the plasma 14000 BTU unit which is sleeker and I'm convinced more effective than the Nanomax but settled on the nanomax hoping I would not have to drain it much, if at all. It claims to work for 3-400sf but my 300 sf room with 8' ceiling...

Small footprint. Easy to set up. Nanomist technology replaces the need to drain the unit. Probably more suitable as a secondary unit

Not very powerful. Not Energy Star compliant. Kind of clunky looking (to me). Unit arrived missing nanotubing and box was fairly damaged in shipping. Pretty sure this is the delivery company but still

Still cooling like it should

It's loud but you just get used to it. Slower fan setting helps. Don't understand some of the negative reviews but maybe there are some lemons out there. Best EER rating I have seen. Would be perfect if the fan would move from left to right though....

Best price I could find when I ordered so no complaints there. Has a remote, not too big and cools pretty well. Nice to be able to move it down to my living room too

It's just over 100F here in Oregon and am really putting this A/C to the test. After running about 1 hour the temperature inside is 78F. Yes, it could be cooler and I'm in a very small room but I'm on the second floor and it's baking up here otherwise

not good enough

where do i begin. this is one of the more deficient products i have purchased recently.

Nice design. Price and quality for the budget shopper

Low cooling capacity. No condensate ability does not live up to expections. Too loud to sleep with unit on. setup is also more complicated than anticipated

Cool--literally

Cools very well. I got this due to the BTU of 12k and the low power draw. I needed on that I was sure I could run on a certain circuit that has a lot drawing on it already, and not blow the breaker. The nano mist is a good idea to remove the moister...

Small, lightweight, 12k btu, excellent power consumption

Highly Recommended

Sorry to hear others don't think this model cools well. Here is my experience. 100 sq.ft. room (10x10): 82 to 76 in an hour, outside temp = 95. 264 sq.ft. room (12x22): 81 to 74 in 2 hours, outside temp = 85. 468 sq.ft. room (18x26): 84 to 75 in 5...

Newegg customer service! Received 48 hours after ordering. EER of 14.46 is amazing. Translates to 830 watts. Assuming 15 cents average per kilowatt, it costs $2.99 per 24 hours. Weighs only 50 lbs. Specs for another 12,000 BTU model: 83 lbs, EER of...

Only has 2-speed fan. Lower speed still a bit high. Casters are basic, inexpensive type. Hard to move on carpets. A bit noisy when fan at high speed, but certainly acceptable

Where's the part where it cools?

All lot of fancy technology and marketing hype but does not deliver on the basic function of cooling.

Fancy Nanomoist technology. Slim design

I was hoping an air conditioner would actually cool my room. The compressor activates very randomly regardless of what temperature it is

Died a little outside of a month

Don't buy this, invest in an windows AC.

none that I can think of

Barely cools a small room, let alone a larger one. Died on me like 33 days after I got it, so newegg wouldn't take it back. Upset with this purchase
