Tested the hygrometer's accuracy using the NaCl salt test and it is within the +/-5% tolerance. Which is quite normal for sub-$100 hygrometers. If you are looking for a more accurate hygrometer look for a Kestrel, BK, or Fluke.

Hygrometer isnot accurate

I picked up this model thermometer to monitor my hot tub temps. So far it works great. I did notice that when I turned it on the outside and inside temps were about 1 1/2 degrees different even though the sensor(s) were next too each other. It works...

I had an older version and it's still working, but when it gets too humid, the display fades. I bought this one, but I soon discovered that I couldn't clear temps.

I use it to keep a check on the humidity where my acoustic guitars are kept. So far after 2 1/2 years it has not let me down. I would recommend this Hygrometer to anyone who wants to properly care for their guitars...

4-5 degree variance, humidity reading never came off of low and the windows had beads rolling down. The two temps never where the same in a closed environment.
