It lacks the extensive web content and pizzazz of rival budget players but the BDP-170 is a solidly-built disc spinner with wide format support and useful wireless functionality.

I purchased this to replace a different brand one, because it would not work with my Pioneer A/V amp, it kept dropping out and corrupting the video, so I took the gamble in the hope that being the same brand it would be better, and so far to report, no...
