Canon MV750I test and review from Computer Video Magazine

All three of Canon's MV7xxi range of MiniDV camcorders boast DV/analogue in/out and cost around £400 or less. We check out the range-leading MV750I

Canon MV750i DV Camcorder Review

Good ergonomics and stylish design. DIGIC processing produces characteristically warm Canon skin tones. Inclusion of 0.6x wide lens and 22x optical zoom is a bonus. Low cost is a major plus.

Access to manual focus and exposure too much of a fiddle. High tape transport noise. A clearer B&W viewfinder would have been preferable to the low-res colour one. 440x digizoom useless.

It's a very comfortable, easy-to-use, camcorder that will be highly popular with the beginner's market. It's still way too noisy in quiet areas, but for the newbie looking for a great little starter model this won't be seen as a problem. At the price,...

Excellent

Great Camera with pleny of capability. Highly recommend this camera.

Simplicity of use. I bought this camera to easily make DVD home movies. Not only i that achieved simply with a fire wire card. But connect the camera up to your VCR tape your old home movies onto the camera, it digitises them and you can produce DVD's...

The only fault I can find is that its 'night shot' is not as good as sony's. But a small compromise considering all the other features.
