At the helm of the 2005 Canon ZR line is the ZR300. Although this is one of the top models of the ZR series, this model is outfitted with the same imager specs as its little siblings, the ZR100 and ZR200: a 1/6” CCD with 680K gross pixels, and 340K...

Canon ZR300 First Impressions Camcorder Review - Canon MiniDV Camcorders

Canon has released its most expensive ZR model to date at the Consumer Electronics Show in January, the ZR300. The ZR300 sits atop the ZR model line both in price and in features. However, the added features over the less expensive ZR200 may not be...

Canon MV850i DV Camcorder Review

General handling is good ; stylish design with lots of visible, well-placed buttons. Goog connectivity and 22x optical zoom is a bonus

440x digizoom useless (you can't make out an image, so it shouldn't be a selling point!)

It's a economically priced entry-level camcorder that will appeal also to the upgrade market. At the price, it's great value for money.

Canon ZR300 MiniDV Digital/Tape Camcorder

I have been using this guy for about 5 years now, and it's never really done me wrong. It has been through a heck of a lot, and it's still running. Just recently started showing signs of needing a tape-head cleaning, but a cleaning tape can be picked...

If you’re using it with the Hi-8 tapes, you’re going to want to bring a few extra batteries. Running the tapes, recording, playing back, editing; it takes a lot out of the batteries and you’ll find they run down pretty quickly! Overall I’d like to say...

so... My old Panasonic broke and I needed a new vid camera. The guy at B&H talked me into this deal, "the Canon optics are better!"

Great camera for the price.

Great video camera for the average person. In a matter of minutes, somebody with 0 expierience (such as myself)can be filming. Then, with a little practice the camera really is impressive. The first feature that stands out is the zoom. It's one of the...

Easy to use, quick to learn. Good price. Great zoom, numerous features

Not great for still pics. Editing software is easy to use, but not detailed enough

A decent point and shoot handheld camcorder

Over the past few years, I've become spoiled by various technologies. My cell phone surfs internet, has a digital and video camera (which holds only about 20 second clips) and is smaller than a pack of cigarettes (used for size comparison only, I don't...

Great point and shoot camera for the lazy. Can do widescreen recording. USB & Firewire

Weak for low light, SD support is good, but not well integrated to menu system
