Asus Asus P527

Festooned with features, the Asus P527 phone ($570 unlocked, as of 4/11/08) is near perfection--on paper. Its big 2.7-inch LCD and spacious keypad are immediately eye-catching, and under the hood the P527 includes Wi-Fi, GPS, an FM radio, and even...

Loaded with features ; Nifty GPS features

Slow and buggy ; Bulky design

The P527 is loaded with features, including extensive GPS options, but it's far too slow for even casual users.

ASUS P527

The ASUS P527 packs a lot more software than its slow processor can handle.

Excellent battery life. Interesting, unusual GPS apps and add-in software.

Software is painful to use, in large part because the device is so slow. No 3G.

Slow performance, memory leaks in our test unit. Not a multimedia powerhouse. Has some bugs that need to be fixed

Asus P527

A mixed bag of a PDA-phone -- there's much of the good, some of the bad. And GPS.

Good build quality, multiple input options, easy one-handed operation, good bundle, GPS, Wi-Fi, decently priced

No maps for GPS, relatively low processing power, slow (USB 1.1) data transfers, no 3G
