Google Nexus Player review

 

Android TV has landed, but this is far from the smoothest of arrivals

Slick interface ; Speedy operation ; It's also a Chromecast

Massive lack of apps ; Too little storage if you're going to use it for games ; Doesn't do enough that the Chromecast doesn't already do

The Nexus Player’s good ideas are outweighed by the current lack of content.

ALMOST perfect, just missing a few apps.

 

The box itself is great. Strong Wifi reception, solid physical build, and the remote is simple, but easily gets the job done.

Broken Wifi makes device useless

 

I got one of these for free and have been trying it out. The device and the interface look good and I found it relatively easy to navigate through menus.

Replaces others

 

Have all the perks of Roku box. Plus can download more apps and watch anything on the net you could ever want. Only down side is the controller, get a bluetooth keyboard with mouse pad to unlock all control features.

Great piece of hardware

 

" It is easy to setup, very fast, all apps you could ever need, android games, casting is stable and responsive. If you are in the Google ecosystem a no-brainer. The fact you can control it though the tv remote is also great (not sure if only Sony)....
