T-Mobile Shadow (2009)

The T-Mobile Shadow features some significant upgrades for 2009, but they're not enough to match the competition.

Attractive. Free calls via UMA-based Wi-Fi. Seamless handoffs between regular cellular and Wi-Fi calls. Comfy hybrid QWERTY keyboard.

Poor Web browsing and video playback. Some UI-related snafus. Useless video-recording mode.

HTC Shadow Review: T-mobile’s gone to the dark side, and I love it

The HTC Shadow is a new Windows Mobile 6 based smart phone for T-mobile service. It has a lot of potential and after spending some time with it, I really appreciate the amount of work that HTC puts into its phones.

HTC Shadow

If you're looking for a smartphone in a sleek disguise, Shadow is an interesting choice. Though it runs Windows Mobile, it's really more like a souped-up messaging phone than a smartphone. The custom UI is a great touch.

Shadow is a sleek slider with a custom interface and jog dial that make it easier to use than the average Windows Mobile smartphone. The SureType keypad fits a QWERTY layout into the space of a regular numerical keypad but has larger buttons than the...

Not everyone will like Shadow's keypad. Wider than most slider phones. Less powerful than many smartphones. No touchscreen. EDGE is slow for Web browsing

T-Mobile Shadow Cell Phone Review

The T-Mobile Shadow is a smart phone equipped with Windows Mobile Standard. This handsome handset features a 2.4-inch display which, while not iPhone-proportioned, is larger than most. Sliding the phone open showcases its SureType keyboard. SureType is...

T-Mobile Shadow Cell Phone Review - Manufacturer - Reviews - WirelessInfo.com - Cell Phone Reviews and Wireless Plan Ratings

The T-Mobile Shadow is the latest smart phone from T-Mobile. Running the non-touchscreen version of Windows Mobile the Shadow is an attractive device with a custom home screen that makes accessing various functions easier than on most Windows Mobile...

We found a lot to like about the Shadow, from its small size, good looks and very usable SureType keyboard. We also found the custom home screen on the Shadow put a huge amount of the phone's functionality in easy reach, something that's very helpful...

The Shadow didn't perform well on our audio tests. In terms of received frequencies, or the voice of an incoming caller, the Shadow overemphasizes virtually everything, though it features sporadic peaks. Voices sound tinny in general, though the effect...

T-Mobile Shadow review: T-Mobile Shadow

T-Mobile Shadow

The T-Mobile Shadow offers a fresh take on Windows Mobile smartphones, with a sleek slider design and interface. The entry-level device also has an affordable price tag and features a beautiful display; Bluetooth and Wi-Fi; a 2-megapixel camera; and...

The call quality of the Shadow could be better, particularly the speakerphone. The navigation wheel is slippery, and performance can be sluggish when numerous apps are in use.

For the young professionals who have outgrown their cell phone but aren't quite ready for a business-centric device, the T-Mobile Shadow offers a nice compromise, as the entry-level smartphone brings the capabilities of a Windows Mobile smartphone into...

Nice for a Cell Phone

If you are wanting a nice stylish phone with limited, but lots of features it works really nice due to windows mobile, but if you are thinking it will replace a pda I would go for a different phone. The main thing that makes the phone cool is the...

The design is nice for general use. It has nice speeds when it comes to using the applications. Allows for all the custom ringtones you want to make. The picture quality for the camera is very good compared to others I have seen and used (has a vary...

Its lack in a full keyboard/touchscreen kind of destroys the smart phone aspect, as it limits or makes some apps difficult to use. Battery life duh is not good. It is either difficult or imposible to create a new word or other microsoft document (you...

It's just OK

I don't know who the manufacturer is, a name I havn't heard of. When the contract is over, I am going back to the Sony or Samsung.

Very fancy. Very much looks like a MP3 player other than a cell phone. Many features.

I own this phone for about 5 months now. begined around 3 months, if you don't charge it every night, the battery won't survive next day, even you don't use it at all!
