Moto G 5G review

About half a year after the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, the company released the more affordable version - the vanilla Moto G 5G. The newer device is almost...

Handling and grip are nice considering the size.

Not very competitively priced.

Unfortunately, it's hard to give the Moto G 5G our full recommendation in the presence of more affordable and sometimes more competent midrangers. As the price drops over time, the Moto G 5G could potentially become a pretty sweet deal but not just yet.

Moto G 5G Review: $400 Phone Has More Storage Space Than You Might Need

One of the cheaper Android 12 phones available also includes so much storage space.

256GB of space for the price is a great value ; Decent phone performance ; Headphone jack

Photos and video lack detail ; No NFC ; Short Android update timeline

Moto G 5G (2024) review: The best phone under $200

The Moto G 5G (2024) may have the most puzzling name of any phone I've ever reviewed. Of all the distinguishing features to call out with your phone's moniker, why focus on 5G connectivity — something nearly every phone offers nowadays? It's like...

Long-lasting battery Super-low price Vegan leather materials

Only one guaranteed software update Underwhelming performance Dim screen

It's hard to find a phone as inexpensive as the $199 Moto G 5G (2024). And while you'll need to excuse some performance hiccups and a dull screen, you'll appreciate the phone's long-lasting battery and stylish-for-its-price design.

Moto G 5G 2024 review: A slice of luxury for less

Buying a smartphone on a tight budget normally isn't a fun time. Most phones at this price tag look nearly identical on paper, and may even be made by companies you've never heard of. That's where the Moto G 5G 2024 comes in. Motorola is a household...

Vegan leather back is a big upgrade All-day battery life with 18W wired charging NFC and 3.5mm jack Very affordable

Display is hard to see in direct sunlight Weak cameras Sluggish performance No IP rating

The Moto G 5G 2024 drops the price of the series by $50, yet adds in subtle improvements to the overall experience. The vegan leather back feels great, and Motorola's software features are always good. Daily performance and camera quality are pretty...

Moto G 5G (2024) Review: I didn't expect it to be this good!

This phone goes beyond just looking nice; it is breathtaking in my opinion. It foregoes having a flashy and cutting-edge design and, instead, opts for more of an understated and elegant aesthetic. The back of the phone is made from a faux leather...

Elegant design Solid build quality Nice display Decent display brightness Surprisingly good speakers Surprisingly good gaming performance Good battery life

Performance is pretty sluggish Camera performance is pretty poor

The Moto G 5G (2024) is one of the best kinds of products for reviews to look at. While drooling after the latest and greatest $1000+ beast to hit the scene, we typically turn a judgemental eye to phones that cost under $300. We write them up as cheap...

Moto g 5G Review

Motorola launched the moto g 5G smartphone in India back in November as the company's first mid-range 5G phone, and it was also the first phone in the country to be powered by Snapdragon 750G SoC. The specifications look good on paper for a mid-range...

Clean UI without Bloatware or Ads ; Good camera in daylight ; Smooth performance ; Good battery life with fast charging

Average low-light camera performance ; No AMOLED or high refresh rate screen compared to competitors ; Lacks dedicated microSD slot

At a price of Rs. 20,999, the moto g 5G is value-for-money budget 5G smartphone from Motorola offering stock Android experience. The main camera is good in most conditions, the phone offers smooth performance and the battery life is good as well....

Moto G 5G Review: Does Cheaper Price Tag Save The Day?

The Moto G 5G undeniably takes the crown for the cheapest 5G smartphone available in the Indian market. The company has tried to live up to the expectation of the masses looking for a mid-range device which goes easy on the pockets.

5G enabled smartphones under Rs. 25,000 price mark ; Big FHD+ display with a punch-hole design ; 5,000 mAh battery with 20W fast charging ; Stock Android experience

Average camera performance ; Single RAM and storage option

The Moto G 5G undeniably takes the crown for the cheapest 5G smartphone available in the Indian market. The company has tried to live up to the expectation of the masses looking for a mid-range device which goes easy on the pockets. The smartphone...

Motorola Moto G 5G Review: Present perfect, future promising with 5G

The Moto G 5G is one of the first phones in India with support for 5G at an affordable mainstream price. But while the phone makes promises for a fast future, in this review of the Moto G 5G India Today Tech finds that it's present too is pretty good.

Moto G 5G Review

India is known to be a highly price-sensitive market. And when it comes to smartphones, we all are extremely value-sensitive too. We want the best bang for the buck. As such, we have stiff competition (from the business perspective) and several choices...

Powerful performance ; Future-proof connectivity ; Stock Android experience ; Prolonged battery life

Absent high-refresh-rate and AMOLED display ; Tough for one-handed operation

When the Moto G 5G price was announced as ₹20,999 in India, it took me by surprise. It was a more aggressive move by the company than I had anticipated. For the sticker on the box, you are getting a competitive mid-ranger that reasonably balances the...

Here's why I can forgive the Moto G Power 5G's weird software

Multiple days of battery life and software optimizations keep this budget device worth considering if you're in the market for a new smartphone.

Multi-day battery life ; Powerful enough ; 6.7-inch screen feels huge

Some built-in software feels spammy ; Low light camera performance is lacking
