Motorola Q 9h review: Moto messenger

The Motorola Q 9h seems an interesting offer if you're after a smartphone. There's no stylus, nor touchscreen, and neither is likely to be missed. In return you get a full QWERTY keypad, almost complete data equipment and Windows Mobile 6...

UMTS including HSDPA ; 512MB microSD card in the package ; quality construction ; perfect keyboard

no WiFi ; system connector ; middling camera

Regardless of the name of the OS, smartphones are in high enough regard for the enhanced functionality and expandability they offer with extra features and applications. It's also true that not all users would welcome touchscreen, let alone stylus. All...

Motorola Q9h (AT&T) review

It's been a lo-o-o-ng time coming, but we finally have our GSM version of the Motorola Q . Almost a year and a half after the original CDMA Moto Q debuted, the Motorola Q9h Global has landed on AT&T's doorstep. Was it worth the wait? We think so.

The Motorola Q9h is a great messaging device with a spacious QWERTY keyboard, and also offers decent call quality and multimedia performance. The Windows Mobile 6 smartphone features HSDPA support; Bluetooth; GPS; world roaming; and a 2-megapixel camera.

There are occasions where the Q9h can be sluggish, and its battery life drains quickly. Some users may not like the lack of a scroll wheel.

Though not the sexiest or sleekest device on the market, the Motorola Q9h Global is an all-around solid smartphone that offers mobile professionals good messaging, clear call quality, and GPS and HSDPA--all for a great value.

Review: Motorola Q 9h

A pretender to the BlackBerry throne, the new Q rocks at messaging and editing, thanks to its tactile keyboard and superior Documents To Go software,...

Lean half-inch-thick bod. Speedier than most Windows Mobile phones. Support for GPS nav and stereo Bluetooth. Streaming music and video applets keep you entertained. Feels a bit faster than other WinMo phones

Large-boned in other directions (4.6 x 2.6 inches). Choppy video. No Wi-Fi. Nonstandard USB port

Targeted as a rival of the BlackBerry phones, the Q9h offers excellent QWERTY keyboard that beats almost everything on the market and proves to be best in its size class. The functionality is as good as you can expect from a WM6 Smartphone and from a...

Motorola Q 9h

If you're looking for an attractive 3.5G PDA-phone with push email, Windows Mobile 6 and a QWERTY keyboard, the Motorola Q 9h is worthy of consideration, so long as you don't need a touch-screen or Wi-Fi.

HSDPA, Windows Mobile 6 (Standard Edition), Smart, subtle design

Review: Motorola Q9h Global for AT&T

The Q9h isn't all wine and roses, though. There are a few issues that, though not deal-breakers for me, might be deal-breakers for you. Read on for the full review

Excellent keyboard., On-board GPS and 3G connectivity, Opera and DocsToGo Standard., Very high quality hardware, Excellent speakerphone, Fast and Powerful

Battery life is barely enough to get through a single day., More expensive than the competition.

The Motorola Q9h is the most powerful non-touchscreen Windows Mobile device available today, bar none. It's fast, it has a very capable web browser, and with its capacious keyboard it's the best email machine I've ever used. Add in on-board GPS and...

Review: Motorola Q9h/ Global - A Real Keeper

What's so appealing about the Q 9h? It's very thin - 11.8 mm to the Curve's 15.5 mm. The QWERTY keyboard features well-marked keys with a roughened surface that prevents fingers slipping off them - a problem with many PDA keyboards

More important is music player performance as this is a core function for many users. Like some other very thin PDA phones - the BlackBerry Pearl, for example - the Q 9h does not include a standard stereo headphone jack. This in my opinion is a serious...
