Motorola Razr (2020) review: 5G folding flip phone feels fine

The hinge doesn't creak anymore, at least.

It’s a cool flip phone ; Useful outside display

Expensive ; Inconsistent camera ; Odd fingerprint placement ; Not fully water or dust resistant

Motorola has fixed all the problems from the original Razr. It’s still a very cool folding flip phone, but the camera is mediocre and the price is way too much at $1,399.

Motorola Razr 5G Review

Gorgeous design ; Useful exterior display ; Excellent 48MP camera ; Solid sub-6GHz 5G connectivity

No IP rating ; Battery life could be better

The Motorola Razr 5G is a stylish folding phone that improves on its predecessor in every way.

I spent a week testing the Razr foldable phone and became enamored with it. But I also have worries over its long-term durability and high price tag.

Motorola Razr (2020) Review

Slim and striking form factor. ; Thoughtful, elegant software. ; Good sound quality.

Poor battery life. ; Weak wireless performance. ; Subpar camera. ; Hinge makes creaking noise. ; Very expensive.

Motorola's gorgeous folding Razr doesn't deliver the performance you expect from a $1,500 phone.

Review: Motorola Razr 5G | Small Foldable Mobile At A Huge Price Motorola Razr 5G

The Motorola Razr 5G could have been almost magical. But unfortunately, the folding mobile does not live up to its iconic name.

Foldability is an attraction in itself and the front screen is large enough to be usable. In addition, solid battery life.

No notable features that take advantage of the foldable design. The quality is generally not on par with the extremely high price.

The Motorola Razr 5G tries its best to speak to the heart rather than the brain. After all, it comes with true smartphone functionality wrapped in a foldable screen case that does everything to look like Motorola’s iconic successful mobile from the...

Motorola RAZR 5G review

Flipping open for round two, the Motorola RAZR 5G is upgraded across the board

Incredible nostalgia factor ; Secure hinge ; Crease-free foldable

Poor camera ; Middling to poor battery life ; Midrange power

The Motorola RAZR 5G is probably the worst camera phone you can that costs more than $1,200 / £1,400, but that doesn’t stop it being a hugely fun throwback, and a marked improvement over last year’s model. The disappointment of the single 48MP camera...

Hands-on: Moto Razr 5G Review

Motorola is back with a new and improved Razr which is 5G ready and fixes most of the issues that plagued the first foldable Razr that went official late last year. But how well does it justify its INR 1,24,999 price tag? We got to spend a day with the...

Motorola Razr (2020) review: Flip out over the 5G follow-up

The second-gen Razr comes with more battery, more brains, more connectivity. It's expensive, though, so is it worth flipping out over this clamshell?

Second display's enhanced functionality ; Smooth software experience ; Battery life is surprisingly good ; Iconic design that'll turn heads

Undeniably expensive ; POLED screen is reflective ; Screen not perfectly flat ; Fingerprint scanner still poorly placed ; Do you really need a folding phone?

The 2020 Razr might not be a device with mainstream appeal like the original from 15 years ago - plus the incoming glut of folding phone competitors is going to further challenge it - but nonetheless it's an exciting piece of technology that stands out...
