Motorola W315 (Verizon Wireless) review

Though Motorola has been best known over the last couple of years for its unending thin phone collection, the company hasn't dropped basic, simple cell phones from its lineup completely. For the most part, they're pretty unremarkable, save for perhaps...

The Motorola W315 has a user-friendly, basic feature set that includes a speakerphone.

The Motorola W315 has a washed-out internal display and flat, clunky controls. Also, the volume level on calls faded in and out a bit, and the talk time battery life was low.

The Motorola W315 is fine for making calls, but there are better options in Verizon's lineup.

How much of a cell phone do you get for $25? The answer is not much, but that may be enough for many users. The Motorola W315 is a pre-paid cell phone that costs $24.99 and runs on Verizon's InPulse pre-paid service, where the user pays in advance for...

Motorola W315 Prepaid Cell Phone Review - Manufacturer - Reviews - WirelessInfo.com - Cell Phone Reviews and Wireless Plan Ratings

What sort of cell phone does $25 get you? To find out, we cracked open the Wirelessinfo.com piggy bank and went shopping for a pre-paid cell phone that didn't tie us up with a long contract. What we found was the $24.99 Motorola W315 running on...

So what does the $25 you'll lay out for the W315 get you? A very, very basic phone that can make calls, but not much else. There's no email, no web browsing and no media playback. There's also no camera and very weak software. So, it won't appeal to...

This phone does not respond quickly to buttons when pressed. For example, to get a phone number off of your list pressing the up key and then the corresponding key for the letter does not work unless you wait more that two seconds for it to respond....

The phone works just fine but I keep hitting the volume button and vibrate button on the side of the phone when I am holding it while talking. I have to hold it by the end so I don't push these buttons. It takes getting used to.
