Nokia 7280 review: A toy for the rich

Nokia 7280 is the king among all stylish phones. The little oblong black brick provokes a mixture between astonishment and curiosity never mind the fact that handling its functions is confusing. Its equipment does not fall behind though either: feel...

Nokia 7280

Oh, heck, just look at it. Nokia gets the highest of marks just for pure innovation.

An amazing-looking phone. Startlingly complete feature set considering its size, including Bluetooth, speakerphone, Class 10 EDGE, and an FM radio.

Difficult to dial (especially if you're not at your sharpest). Needs speaker-independent voice dialing. Possibly short battery life.

Nokia 7280 Review

The new Nokia 7280 unlocked Bluetooth camera GSM phone is an eye catcher. With a compact design unseen in most Nokia handsets, the Nokia 7280 is a certified best seller.

The Nokia 7280 is a solid phone with a creative, out-of-the-box design which clearly is its most glaring attraction. Although users should expect some time to get used to the design, the phone is user friendly. The screen is a bit small but this is to...

Nokia 7280 Review

Truly nice style in a very lightweight package

Phone needs to be sent back to Nokia for battery change, No keypad means a real loss in efficiency

Excellent for fashionable people who don't care so much about functionality but place style above everything. Walking out of a Limo with that phone in hands is sure to turn heads but just imagine the same jewel with a better software.

Nokia 7280

Nokia has traditionally been to mobile phones what Microsoft is to operating systems. In other words, the world's dominant force in mobile handset sales. Last year saw that domination threatened by new manufacturers on the scene such as Samsung, and...

Whilst the 7280 was designed with a specific brief in mind it's hard to believe that usability and practicality were not also on the checklist. The look of the 7280 is no doubt an acquired taste, and the screen, whilst crisp is really too small to be...

Nokia 7280

There are some elements that we think the Nokia 7280 is lacking in though. We really feel that an MP3 player and removable memory would be a huge plus for this type of device, and surely a megapixel camera wouldn't be too difficult? If they'd have...

Nokia 7280 Phone Review - Phone Reviews by Mobile Tech Review

And now for something different, truly different. The 7280, a member of the "Nokia Fashion Collection" of art deco influenced phones, owes absolutely nothing to mobile phone looks and everything to style. More closely resembling a very large tube of...

Has extreme good looks and makes a stunning fashion statement. Slide open to easily answer calls. Good voice quality and volume. Has voice dialing and command, speakerphone and Bluetooth for headsets. Display is sharp despite its small size ;

No number pad! Battery life isn't stellar and battery isn't user replaceable. VGA camera is just adequate

When extreme good looks, uniqueness and beyond everything else, fashion counts, this is the phone for you. Undeniably classy and attractive, this phone also offers good usability in every department except the missing number pad. Sporting some of...

Nokia 7280 Cell Phone Review

When twilight falls, prowl the night with the mysterious Nokia 7280 phone. Shrouded in the mystery is a passion that will only reveal itself as you slide it open. Its sublime form is exquisitely crafted, leaving you with a slim, sleek object of beauty,...

The 7280 wins points for its unique and attractive design, but everyday users will become quickly frustrated by its tedious messaging and number input process.

Small, slim and light, design has a "wow" factor, maintains the trademark Nokia ease of use, has most standard mobile features, display doubles as a mirror

Messaging and number input slow and tedious, lack of video recording, SIM card storage requires tool, no games or Java support

Nokia 7280

Gadgets, phones or anything techy can no longer just do the job they set out to do anymore. They have to be stylish fashion items too. Nokia's taken this on board earlier than most. The mobile phone giant is rolling out a range of phones that have...

Design, Wow factor, surprisingly ease of use.

Not for the heavy number or text puncher

This is Nokia trying to create a style-conscious, design-focused mobile phone and in our minds, succeeding. For some, it will be a little over the top and we wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has either lots of texts to send or numbers to punch in.
