Samsung i617T

Samsung lays down its cards.

3.6Mbps HSDPA, Windows Mobile 6, built-in GPS, more memory than previous version, slightly larger display, 2-megapixel camera

No Wi-Fi, glossy surface is a fingerprint magnet, proprietary headphone/charging jack

Samsung’s second smartphone to be released on Telstra’s Next G network, the i617T improves on its predecessor but remains let down by the lack of Wi-Fi.

Review: Samsung i617T - Reviews - Mobiles & Handhelds - Digital Life

The smartphone market can be bewildering at best - there are somany phones on so many plans from so many networks. Some are goodall-rounders while others carve out a niche. We'd put the Samsungi617T in the latter bracket.

If you can put up with the small screen, it's great value.
