Sony Ericsson Spiro Review

It seems like Sony Ericsson's Walkman series is here to stay. Or at least it seems to be this way, as the company has recently unleashed a brand new offering for its music lineup, namely the Sony Ericsson Spiro. Now, the Spiro may be small in size, and...

Sony Ericsson Spiro Reviewed

A review of the budget friendly Sony Ericsson Spiro, a phone that comes with Walkman 4.0. Aimed primarily at early teens and consumer of a similar age bracket, we take a look at the phone and see if it is worth the $100 retail price. In the first part...

The Spiro is a good phone that Sony Ericsson messed up, badly. The phone was released untested and bug ridden, plus it has a few issues minus the two just mentioned. They are -- poor camera, bad build, slow Internet and extremely limited internal...

Sony Ericsson W100i Review

At Rs. 5,600 the Spiro is a good handset, but it has a couple of issues that include a poor quality headset and a quirky number keypad. As such, there are better features available on cheaper handsets from smaller manufacturers, but the SE Spiro is a...

Compact and sleek, Good build quality, Decent performer

Sony Ericsson Spiro

Both phones are fairly low end and really just seem to exist in order to refresh the rather dated Walkman phones currently in the range. Given the modest specifications and the somewhat tarnished brand, we don't imagine that these will be hugely popular.

Sony Ericsson's low-cost Spiro music phone looks good on paper, but how does it perform?

Sony Ericsson Spiro review

No bells, no whistles – can a stripped-back phone make it in a smartphone world?

Build quality ; Price ; General ease of use ; Decent features for the price ; Screen

Software crashes ; Poor camera ; No included USB cable ; Internet problems ; Call quality

The Sony Ericsson Spiro launched alongside the Zylo, its Walkman-branded slider brother-in-arms. While the Zylo used its FLAC audio support as its unique selling point, the Spiro doesn't really have a comparable feature, so what's to recommend it?

Sony Ericsson Spiro

Ever since the introduction of the iPhone, Sony Ericsson (and every other mobile brand around) has had to up its game, particularly when it comes to the inclusion of a music player. With the long-estblished Walkman brand to back it up, the Sony...

Slick finish, music player audio quality, cheap

Fiddly buttons, no Wi-Fi, clunky web browser, small memory size

The Spiro is certainly a modest phone, and there's nothing wrong with that, particulalry if you're after something that won't cost an arm and a leg. The lack of Wi-Fi and the tiny built-in memory certainly don't help its case but then at this price, we...

Sony Ericsson Spiro review

The Sony Ericsson Spiro is a basic slider phone with good looks and a penchant for playing music.

The Sony Ericsson Spiro is available for £39 pay-as-you-go, making it a budget phone. If you are looking for a very basic phone that looks good and is capable of very strong audio playback, then the Spiro is a fair purchase.

Sony Ericsson Spiro

The Spiro is another basic phone from Sony Ericsson that forsakes connectivity for music playback.

Simple UI ; Looks Good ; Very Good Music Playback ; Inexpensive

No Wi-Fi, 3G or GPS Support ; Terrible Camera ; Only 5MB of Internal Storage ; Video Playback is Choppy

The Sony Ericsson Spiro is basic slider phone with good looks and a penchant for playing music.
