Sony Ericsson Txt Pro Basic Phone was launched in July 2011, comes with a 3-inch TFT LCD Capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels at a pixel density of 155 pixels per inch. The screen is also protected by a Scratch Resistant display.

After launching a Facebook competition to guess the handset's name, Sony Ericsson took to the social network to upwrap the latest handset within its QWERTY line-up: the Sony Ericsson txt pro.

In keeping with Sony Ericsson's social announcement, the handset's aimed at Facebook addicts and speedy "txters". It couples a 3-inch (400 x 240) touchscreen with a slide out QWERTY keypad, perfect for bashing out messages and typing on-the-go.

I can see why this phone gets so much hate. Out of the box it's quite laggy and the touch screen is unresponsive. But Sony has since addressed these issues with their software update manager. I ordered this from newegg since their warehouse is a state...

Quality design - 3.0" touch screen, microusb, slideout qwerty keyboard, tiny formfactor, lightweight, gorgeous white design

Not a smartphone - but it wasn't designed to be so I'm fine with that. Get the xperia mini pro if you want the same design but packed with an amazing "inside" ;)

I have used many of the touch screen phones, none of them like this piece of junk. The touch screen doesn't work at 50% of the time. I bought for my 10 yr daughter. Half of the time I called her, she didn't answer. Later she told me the touch screen...
