Sony Ericsson W960i Walkman Phone - HardwareZone.com

Only available in Vinyl Black, the Sony Ericsson W960i is a jack of all trades mobile with a touch screen interface.

Sony Ericsson W960i mobile phone

One of the most common complaints from music mobile phones is lack of on-board storage, but with 8GB stuffed into the Sony Ericsson W960i, could you be left wanting more? We had a look to find out. As a music player it works well, especially with that...

Walkman music player, connectivity

Control, keypad keys feel flimsy, no standard headphone socket

As a music player it works well, especially with that 8GB of storage, but the W960i seems to fall short in many areas: control is a significant issue, the OS is slow to respond at times, and the lack of a 3.5mm headphone socket is inconvenient.

Sony Ericsson Smartphone : Sony Ericsson W960i Walkman Smartphone

Bringing together touch screen capable and Walkman music playing ability is the role of a new addition to the Sony Ericsson range of mobiles.

The W960i is, as you might guess from the familiar "W" prefix, yet another member of the Walkman family of mobile phones. With its GSM/GPRS functionality, this phone packs a 2.6-inch touch screen display and a 3.2 megapixel camera into its vinyl...

Sony Ericsson W960i

Versatile interface, impressive camera, 8GB internal memory, excellent music player

No memory card slot, no built-in 3.5 microphone jack, price, occasionally sluggish interface, erratic predictive text input

The W960i ticks most of the boxes we expect from a good music player, including smart applications, great functionality and oodles of on-board memory. Unfortunately, a few design blunders have left it slightly wanting as a mobile phone.

Sony Ericsson W960i

its really easy and fun to use, loads of really cool features and much faster than any nokia i'v tried. im currently travelling round europe and it is excellent for booking hostels and checking train times

the stand-by life of the battery is quite good but listening to music or surfing the internet (which is also pretty good) seems to drain it quite quickly, especially if doing both together
