T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide review

Not too long ago, things were pretty simple in T-Mobile's Android land. For us (the nerds, geeks, power users, early adopters, and other misbegotten

Fantastic camera ; Pleasant and easy to use ; Solid and attractive hardware

Lackluster display and keyboard ; Performance could be better ; Average battery life

The myTouch 4G Slide is certainly a worthy contender in the race for best cameraphone, but Nokia's N8 still rules for now.

Review: HTC myTouch 4G Slide

Like most Android phones, HTC's myTouch 4G Slide handles the basics just fine. Where it really shines is with a forward-thinking camera optics and user-friendliness...

Shoots like a camera, thinks like a smartphone. Quick on the draw with barely perceptible shutter lag. Solid color in still images. Smooth 1080p video is better than most other smartphone offerings. Responsive and fast across a number of applications....

Feature set calls for more than an 8GB memory card. No optical zoom. Power users may find photo effects too hands-on. Slow to boot. Ho-hum 400×800 resolution display. Optical trackpad is mostly useless. Generic Android “Search” key replaced with an...

MyTouch 4G Slide Review

The MyTouch 4G Slide is the latest in T-Mobile's line of consumer-friendly Android smartphones. Its predecessors have occupied a curious place in the Android ecosystem: decidedly focused on...

Great overall camera experience ; Well-built hardware ; Decent performance overall

Overdependence on the Genius button ; T-Mobile / HTC Sense skin feels overdone ; Screen is uninspiring

If you're a shutterbug or are not dogmatic about a pure Android experience, it might still be worth a look

T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide review

Far too often a series of phones becomes dull routine, with the device manufacturer simply churning out yet another familiar model rather than designing something new. Not so with the T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide. HTC could have simply changed the colors,...

The T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide is a speedy 4G, dual-core smartphone with some great multimedia features.

The keyboard is a little flat on the MyTouch 4G Slide, and while good, the camera tools don't live up to their mind-blowing promise.

The T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide is a well-designed, feature-packed dual-core handset that can stand alongside today's premium smartphones.

T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide

The T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide is an easy-to-use smartphone for the masses.

Excellent keyboard. Good call quality. Elegant software.

Not the fastest processor.

Multimedia and Conclusions The Slide makes a good multimedia phone. It comes with its own media-syncing software, doubleTwist (Free, ), which will sync your photos, videos, and music (including iTunes playlists) to the phone from either a PC or Mac....

T-Mobile MyTouch 3G Slide

Ready to graduate from the T-Mobile Sidekick? Debuting on the network on June 2 and priced at $180 with a two-year contract, the newest addition to T-Mobile MyTouch family stands out from its siblings with a full QWERTY keyboard, a slick new Android...

Comfortable full QWERTY keyboard ; Intuitive user interface

Some native apps can be slow ; Camera is hit-or-miss

The MyTouch 3G Slide is a solid midrange Android phone with a great feature set, but its camera isn't as good as those on other phones in its class.

T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide

There's no way around it: The MyTouch 4G Slide is a brick. While it's similar in size to many other smartphones (4.8 by 2.4 by .52 inches—HWD), at 6.5 ounces, it's unusually heavy. But it feels well-built from good materials; the front is black glass...

Fast. Excellent camera. Very good keyboard

Heavy. Voice quality is only average

The big, beautiful, Android-based myTouch 4G Slide is T-Mobile's most powerful handset to date, so it's our latest Editors' Choice for keyboarded smartphones on T-Mobile.

T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide Review - Photographers Wanted

When T-Mobile launched the G2, I was super psyched. It was an HTC-designed slider, ran the stock Android UI, and happened to be one of the first phones running Qualcomm's 2nd-generation Snapdragon (S2) chips. I was so psyched that I ended up buying...

T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide Review

In my possession I have HTC's latest attempt at a slider. This here is the myTouch 4G Slide running over on T-Mobile with those super fast 4G speeds. It takes everything you liked about the myTouch 4G and adds those few features we liked in the 3G...

All in all this is a top tier phone. It has the dual-core CPU to match the competition, runs on the absolute latest Android OS, has the shiny Sense UI and that camera for those special moments. This is a great phone with plenty of potential but if you...
