Wileyfox Swift review: fantastic little floof

At R2300, it's hard to ignore the Wileyfox Swift if you're looking for an entry-level smartphone with mid-range threatening features.

: I can’t think of another device that’s this feature-packed at R2300. If you can manage your expectations, and try not to use its camera too often, then the Wileyfox Swift is a great budget smartphone with an even bigger heart. : 8/10

Wileyfox Swift review

The Swift is the entry-level smartphone from new British phone maker Wileyfox. Retailing for just over £100, the Swift is a nice-looking phone with features that compare favourably with rivals at this price point. Of particular note are the...

At S21, we very much welcome the arrival of a new player in the smartphone market, especially a British company, and one that has already shown itself to be brave and innovative. We wish Wileyfox every success. Asked by Paul Harper from UK on 9th Nov...

Wileyfox Swift review

Wileyfox is a brand you've probably never heard of but that doesn't mean it's not worth looking at its phones. The Swift is its debut and it matches a remarkably solid experience against a downright cheap £129 price tag. Here's our full review.

It's £129 ; Nice screen at 720p ; Dual SIM ; MicroSD card slot ; Good camera for a cheap phone

The notification LED is way too bright

Despite the number of phones that come across our desks in the course of a year, one that's hard to fault on any level is still a rarity. Incredibly, Wileyfox has managed such a feat at its very first attempt. When the biggest flaw you can find on a...

Wileyfox Swift

The £129 Swift is Britain-based Wileyfox's first ever smartphone. Like the OnePlus 2, Honor 7 and Moto G (2015) it aims to carve a share of the smartphone market by offering features traditionally seen on phones close to twice its price.

Super affordable ; Advanced privacy controls ; Removable battery

So-so battery life ; Heavily skinned Android software ; Inconsistent camera

A budget handset that's anything but

With a refreshing OS, a comfortable design, great performance, nice screen and decent battery life, the WileyFox Swift is a great budget device – but regardless of the low price, it offers a great overall smartphone experience.

Wileyfox Swift review

Wileyfox is a new brand on the smartphone scene and is aiming to win the budget market against the likes of the Moto G and Vodafone Smart Ultra 6. Here's our Wileyfox Swift review.

For a brand-new smartphone maker's first effort, we're impressed with the Wileyfox Swift. It's a stylish little handset which offers essentially the same specs as the Moto G for less money. We love the customisation available in Cyanogen OS but...

An absolute steal of a smartphone

Amazing value ; High-quality camera sensor and lens ; Good screen

Dodgy Auto brightness setting ; The odd glitchy pause ; Camera software needs improving

This mega-value fox is a great cheap phone, and almost a match for the Moto G

Wileyfox Swift Review: In Depth

Full Wileyfox Swift Review: This 5-inch Cyanogen mobile is a nippy, well-specced Moto G rival from an exciting new British manufacturer.

Sharp, bright screen ; Feature-packed, customisable OS ; Hand-friendly design

Occasional lag ; Camera beaten by rivals

The Wileyfox Swift may lag behind close rivals such as the Moto G and Smart Ultra 6 for performance, battery life and all-round camera excellence, but it’s still a well-specced and likeable handset that boasts impressive privacy, security and...
