CoffeeGeek - Capresso Infinity Grinder - Nick C's Review

This was my first entry into using a burr grinder, I had for years used a blade grinder for all my coffee needs. Might I say that this was quite a step-up from my old blade grinder, I really couldn't believe it.

Very consistent grinder, nice heavy burrs and a convenient timer

Fair amount of grind retention if not ran empty, static issues with grind holder, and limited steps

i) Cheap, best bang of the buck that you can get out there for low budget ; ii) Acceptable grinds for espresso (from point of view of a newbie) ; iii) Great looking

i) as what other people said, ground retains. Can be reduced with a bit effort though ; ii) limited adjustments for espresso

CoffeeGeek - Capresso Infinity Grinder - Seth Goldman's Review

On the positive side it looks good and the company was very good about replacing a part that was broken on arrival. It gives a consistent grind. However, It is very messy. Grinds get everywhere, including behind the bin. This makes it impossible to...

Consistent grind. Excellent product support

The timer is not consistent. It is very messy

CoffeeGeek - Capresso Infinity Grinder - Gabe Glendale's Review

I'm evaluating the Infinity for espresso machines. It's the lowest price entry level grinder you will find, thus barley making good crema on my Baratza, if I happen to hit step 2.5 (in between 2 and 3) on the grinder and master the tamp. The grind...

Entry level grinder, for pressurize baskets only or non-espresso coffee makers. With a low end Krupps it's probably reasonable, as others pointed out on this forum. Price seems OK, if you can settle with substandard performance

If you own a medium to high end machine, it's a waste of time and money. You'd feel 100 bucks well spend when you leave the store, but a week later it's a 100% wasted money, effort and precious beans, you will be on the market again. The grind in...

I would buy this again.

We use this machine at work 5 days per week, probably 6 to 8 times per day, 2x each session (required to make enough grinds). This has gone on for nearly 3 years and this grinder keeps going, and going, and going ... It has outlived two coffee...

Extremely durable ; Uniform grind with good grind control ; Does not need much regular attention

Static buildup in grinds can make mess ; Very oily beans can stick in hopper requiring intervention

Good Grinder - Lousy Customer Support - No "Real" Parts Available

My only real problem with this grinder is the company itself and their refusal to sell a complete burr set, claiming the lower burr is an internal part. They will gladly sell the upper burr ring for $16 US but the lower burr, which is in plain sight...

Grind Quality

Static Cling

Solid multi-purpose grinder for its price. Stepless mod option offers a slight increase in espresso capability, but only recommended for cheap espress

This grinder has been used for a solid year quite regularly for all kinds of purposes with no problems. Initially for drip and espresso. The finest setting would choke my espresso machine quite easily. It was possible to make espresso shots with crema...

Easy to clean / access burrs. Can quickly switch between French Press / drip / espresso. Can be modded to be stepless. Can achieve extremes of fineness and coarseness with calibration. Durable. Consistent particle size

Plastic build. Grounds container "rides" outward with vibrations. Minor grounds retention. Minor static issues. Limited adjustability - especially for espresso purposes

solid, well built, great but not for dark roast beans

This is a quick follow up to my review one month ago. I've now owned and used the machine for one month and I've tried other beans in the machine. Much better performance if a more medium roast bean is used. I now only have to turn the dial once and...

Built like a tank. Fairly quiet. Easy to use. Generous hopper size

Cannot use dark french roast beans and get good performance

Test soon to get a return/refund sonner.

I have to admit before purchasing, I knew this was a gamble when purchasing. Reading other reviews the main issue was durability and lifetime of the product. I considered if it worked for 3 or 4 years it was worth the risk. Unfortunately this was...

Simple setup, easy. Appeared to be a worthwhile choice for an entry level grinder. I purchase/return, i may confidently say to others STAY AWAY from this and save you the hassle

Basic problem, grind was too fine for drip, espesso or anything to be useful

Well made...slow...easy to clean...but slow.

Okay...I use this only for drip coffee so I cannot comment on its espresso capabilities. I picked this up used on Craigslist and I must say, it was very lightly used. Upon picking it up I completely disassembled everything down to the burrs and cleaned...

Very solid construction ; Well made ; Easy to disassemble ; Very little static electricity produced ; Attractive design ; Heavy base

Slow grinding ; Did I mention this thing is slow
