Very Dangerous Machine

I've had my Mr.Coffee ECM150 since Feb. 2006. Bought it for about $25.00 at Macy's. Using it at first a couple times a day. But this machine has to be watched at all times - it will overflow if you put enough water for both the espresso and to steam ...

Good for short term & infrequent use

Dangerous small appliance - beware

DANGEROUS COFFEE MAKER - COULD CAUSE SEVERE BURNS

I started writing this review a while back - and forgot to post it. I was happy with it at the time. Today the cap broke (exploded some have said) and filled the kitchen with potentially scalding steam. If i had been there and about to turn it off I ...

good coffee for a while

CAP BURST, small stiff slick knobs, small driptray (in big housing), fairly big

Worked For A Minute. No, Seriously.

My husband bought this machine for me cuz I'm a coffee addict. Also, we're poor. Well, really, I'm not into spending $3,000 for an espresso maker and neither is he. Moving on...the thing worked pretty well for a while. After around a month of making ...

Made decent espresso for a limited time

Broke after about a month of use. Pretty lame

I love my ECM 150

I have had my ECM 150 for over 2 years, and we use it at least twice a day every day and it is a wonderful little work horse. It's a little slow at frothing - takes about 1 1/2 - 2 minutes to get it good and hot, but well worth it for the cost. It...

Easy to use and clean. Sturdy - lasts for many uses. Very reasonably priced

I wish they came in white. Frothing is slower than I would like

Danger - Made In China plastic cap EXPLODES

This is my 4th machine in a long, fairly happy history; up until now most low-end steam-only units used an internal ALUMINUM cap with a integral pressure relief valve; these typically worked fine. This one, however was the first one I have bought ...

Works fine right until the moment it explodes in your face

Good espresso isn't worth a trip to the hospital

Best for the money

Before recently vacationing in Italy I wasn't a big coffee drinker. But I saw so many people drinking espresso I figured I'd try it out and ended up falling in love with it. I knew I was going to have to buy an espresso maker when I came back to the ...

Makes delicious espresso, easy to use, dummy-proof

A great way to save some money

I've had my Mr. Coffee Steam Espresso and Cappuccino Maker for about 4 years now and I love it. If you're a Starbucks addict, this thing will pay for itself in the first month. It may take some refining to get your technique down but when you get it ...

Inexpensive, easy to clean, fast, perfect size for the office

The steamer tip can clog with milk

Great Value Espresso Machine

As a coffee lover, I have always wanted to be able to make my own espresso creations at home, without spending the big bucks on a fancy espresso maker. I find that the Mr. Coffee 4 cup espresso and cappuccino maker is an excellent buy at a relatively...

Inexpensive, efficient, sturdy

Lacks a few professional components

Great little unit is marred by too-cheap carafe.

First off, for the price, this unit does as well as some espresso makers costing 10 times as much. With just a little upgrade, Sunbeam/Mr. Coffee could have a total winner.

Well-made, stylish and inexpensive.Durable (except for carafe) Simple and easy-to-use

Low-quality plastic carafe and steamer sleeve.Steamer outlet hard to clean.Switch hard to turn
