Our best kettle ever.... To start with, now dangerous.

Excellent 1st impressions. A quiet speedy boil, but now 6 months on Amazon are refunding. The area around the lid scales up very easily so steam escapes around the seal. Every time you poor, your hands are burnt by the escaping steam. Avoid.

this kettle is potentially dangerous!

The best kettle we have had. It does get noisier with use, but a descale and it returns to the original quiet state for several months. We have had no problems with steam leaking, even immediately after boiling. We have had no taste problems.

Steam escapes from the back of the lid onto your hand when pouring, seriously question why this is a best buy, wishing I'd read the reviews first.

This should be a 'Don't buy'

  (Rating Hidden)

It doesn't heat water hot enough to make a cup of tea, or even a decent cup of instant coffee. It switches off well before boiling point is reached, I've tested it with a thermometer. After the first descale it gets as noisy as any other kettle. How do...
