Take a pass on these

Bought a few of these for some lab machines - I wasn't expecting much at this price, but these sound absolutely terrible, even for sub-$10 speakers. The short cables are a real PITA as well.

Cheap ; Small ; Not too bad looking ; Headphone jack on front ; AC adapter built into housing

Lousy, tinny sound - worse than built-in laptop speakers ; Very short cables (all about 3') - left and right speakers are not detachable ; Very susceptible to interference (esp from cellphones)

Good Cheap Speakers

I'd buy it again for a computer that needs base speakers.

Cheap, and they work

Not the greatest sound quality in the world, but...what do you want out of a pair of speakers for less than 10 bucks

Great for Price

For the price, this thing puts out great quality audio! Not top of the line by any means but perfect for someone needing a cheap pair

The power cord didn't fit into any plugs for some reason. It was too small and just fell out. Fixed that by bending the pins in so they'd hold themselves in. Other then that, works fine

Not Great

I am probably being too hard on them. What do you expect for under $10? In all seriousness, if all you need is something that can be used for some YouTubing or VOICE audio stuff, these should do for a budget system. If you need something that actually...

Cheap. You can buy these for the price of a happy meal. They are black, which matches my system. They emit sound

To get an idea of how they sound: go get your current PC speakers, drop them off a cliff, then hook them back up. Now go into your audio control panel's equalizer and turn all bass settings off, then turn all midrange and treble settings all the way...

Good bang for the buck...if it works

Below average for music or gaming. Distorts at volumes above 60%. Tinny highs. Poor mid-range response. Horrible bass. But, for the money, you can't expect much, and as such I do believe these are an exceptional value. I've heard speakers that cost $20...

Cheap, good for the money; but you get what you pay for. Adequate standard desktop speakers for system sounds. If you are looking for "good" quality speakers for movies, games, or music; look elsewhere and spend more

I've bought 6-7 of these here for various system builds, and one came DOA. It cost me as much to return the speakers for a replacement as a new set cost, but Newegg handled the RMA quickly, and the replacement speakers worked flawlessly ; Every unit...

SpecResearch SP-250 2.0 Speaker

Newegg has become one of my favorite shopping sites with one order! Service and speed of shipment topnotch!

Great little speakers! Even with the freight charges, a real bargain! They work very well with the antique equipment I got them to use with. (backup machine built out of used parts)

You get what you pay for

I bought these to test out sound on new computer builds. All they have to do is let me know the sound is working, nothing else. They work fine for this purpose. If you want speakers for a computer you'll be using for more than 5 minutes, spend at least...

They are the cheapest speakers on Newegg right now. No other pros other than low price

These are the tinniest speakers I've ever heard, other than laptop speakers. There is absolutely no bass at all. If the power cord gets jostled at all, they pop and crackle. There's no way I'd ever want to suffer through with these on a computer I use...

Good for Less

Good speakers for a lot less. I would not recommend these for anyone who listens to loud music. Just a heads up.

For the price, these are excellent speakers for a work or office computer. Small and easy to conceal

they have no bass and do nothing whatsoever for my audiophile ears ; But, i cant complain
