I like GE/Thompson cordless phones because they have features that no other phones have in the same combination. They have all the features I am looking for, such as room monitor and intercom abilities that help me keep up with my kids.

I got this for my elderly dad who is not extremely hard of hearing, so I thought the volume would work well. But he really can't hear without his hearing aids on, even with the volume turned up. So we were disappointed, sorry to say.
