Doro 5065R

I've had a set of these phones for 3yrs now, worked flawlessly until recently, with call drop outs now constantly causing trouble.

Did have good standby and talk time to start with, until the rechargable batteries died. Call clarity was okay compared to that of analogue phones

Menu system could be so much better, any small change needed the instruction manual. Really cryptic. Horrible when finally failed, new batteries did not solve the problem. Unexplained dropouts, callers cut off on answerphone

Standby time lucky to be 12 hours (same for each of the 4 handsets I have, with DORO or name barand rechargeables)

Lightweight, intercom/baby monitor feature

Standby/talktime is nothing like the claimed times

This phone has been the worst purchase of my life. The sound is a joke, the phone book is a joke, the answering machine is difficult to work and the standby time is about 1 day. I will never never never buy doro again.

"Disappointing"

The sound is reasonably good ; Interoperates with my Binatone phones

Highly cryptic user interface that is not fully explained in the manual ; Cannot call a single handset in Intercom mode (have to page all of them) ; Undocumented how to associate wth more than one basestation ; Appears not to be possible to operate...

"Fantastic. A winner!"

This is the best telephone I have ever used. Clear and crisp sound quality and very good range. The small issue I had was fixed quickly and eficiently over the phone with Doro. I recommend this product and company to anyone buying a telephone.

OK

This phone is a nice and compact phone, but I would prefer other phones that are slightly easier to operate.

The phone is small and not too heavy to hold for a long chat. The battery lasts pretty long. The phone is very durable - been using them for almost 5 years, and still giong strong.

The buttons are not very inuitive and user friendly, I still don't fully understand half the functions. Both speaker and normal receiver's volume have only 4 settings. I find that even the loudest setting isn't loud enough for me even when there is not...

Bad

Could be better design. Buttons definitely a problem in design...noticed others have had problems...getting them to function too. The neat look and clarity are a bit outweighed by the poor functionality as they age. The flashing button on the back to...

Clear reception. Neat look to the phones....initially at least.

Buttons do not register after about 1 year...on one handset...pressing some buttons gives no result. Needs to have backlit display. Memories awkward in that handsets do not share one memory. The finish becomes rather sticky and wears. Message alert...
