Acer Aspire L310

The relatively tiny Ace Aspire L310 desktop is one to consider for the design-minded or space-constrained.

Compact. Fairly loaded system. Minimal bloatware. Built-in Wi-Fi. Vista Home Premium including Aero support. Decent price for a Core 2 Duo powered system.

System fans put out constant noise. External power brick. Only 90-day antivirus subscription. No TV tuner in tested configuration.

Acer Ferrari One FO200-1799 (Athlon 64 X2 L310 1.2GHz review: Acer Ferrari One FO200-1799 (Athlon 64 X2 L310 1.2GHz

Acer Ferrari One FO200-1799 (Athlon 64 X2 L310 1.2GHz

Speedy Netbook-size system; good battery life.

Oddly shaped touch pad; priced out of the Netbook market.

Acer's auto-branded Ferrari One FO200 may look like an 11-inch Netbook, but it sports a dual-core AMD CPU and a mainstream laptop price to match.

The Aspire L310 works as a trim, affordable computer that also serves light home-theater-PC duties. It doesn't offer as much room for improvement as its competition, but as long as you don't have plans for upgrading or running Windows Vista full bore,...

Sleek, compact design that can lie flat or stand upright; built-in Wi-Fi; one of the least expensive PCs of its kind.

Tightly packed interior doesn't lend itself to upgrades.
