Acer Aspire M3800-U3802A

Six more USB ports are around back, as are HDMI, VGA, FireWire, Ethernet, and two PS/2 ports, along with half a dozen audio jacks. The M3800 comes with a USB keyboard and optical mouse. The keyboard features an audio volume dial and multimedia controls...

Generous feature set. HDMI and FireWire ports. Multi-card reader. Room for expansion

Integrated graphics. Only 250-watt power supply offered. Bloatware

A multi-card reader, an HDMI port, and a full 4GB of RAM in the Acer Aspire M3800-U3802A lift this dual-core econotower above the run of the mill.

Review Of The Acer Aspire M3800-U3802A

Going on to the actual performance of the Acer: we put it through a few tests... like the Adobe Photoshop CS3 image-processing test, Apple iTunes encoding test, Multimedia multitasking, Cinebench test and compared it with the other on the shelf...

The feature set is midway between mediocre and brilliant, well equipped, cost effective, room for upgradation, multi card reader, HDMI FireWire ports

Integrated graphics, low power supply of 250 watts, just add a few bucks more and you could get an all together swish and better desktop

:I wouldn’t say that this an awesome desktop or anything even close by. But it’s a slightly more than mediocre desktop with probably more of an economic value. Also it doesn’t have much to offer from a gamer’s point of view. A 300-watt power supply...

Acer Aspire M3800 media centre PC

This Acer media centre PC is quick, good-looking and well featured

Quad-core CPU, 10 USB ports, 4GB RAM

USB ports located on top of PC (rather than at the front), corded peripherals, remote control receiver is not built in

The Aspire M3800 is a media centre PC that looks good and has plenty of features and CPU power. It's not perfect — it could still use more integrated features — but it's worth considering if you're after a PC that can be used for conventional work as...

Acer Aspire AM3800-U3802A Pentium dual-core E5200(2.50GHz) 4GB DDR3 640GB Intel GMA X4500 Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit

Will tackle anything you throw at it. Handles WoW CODMW2 LFD2 perfectly. I personally upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and it handles all the visualization. I think its the best piece of equipment you can get for less than 450 bucks

Comes with vista... Eww

Not bad!

I really like the fact that it uses DDR3 memory so I can reuse that whenever I decide to move to i5/i7. For now it fits my needs (as a basic HTPC). It handles 1080p well, Blu-Ray and HDHomeRun tuners with no problem (but don't expect to multitask when...

It is very quiet, I can barely hear it. It also runs cool ; DDR3 memory is a big plus, I can reuse when upgrading to more modern systems (i5/i7) ; You can squeeze a total of 3HDDs in it (see cons) ; PSU ended up being 300w instead of 250w spec'd ;...

CPU and GPU are weak, so upgrade may be imminent... Do your homework to figure whether that suits you ; I had to remove the plastic front panel to install the BD drive (not a big deal, but I had to figure that out by myself) ; Challenge cabling/wiring...

Acer Aspire M3800 Refurbished

Fast machine in stylish case. Good price for the spec.

Would have liked some USB ports on the front of the case (they're on the top and the back). The inbuilt wireless card is slightly slower than an external USB one (48 Mbps -vs- 54 Mbps)

Acer Aspire M3800

Very quiet and responsive. Neat appearance. USB points on top well-placed for most access but, as I keep the tower in a cupboard, for me, it is somewhat awkward. Any serious problems I had in setting up the computer were caused by moving to yet another...

The worst point for me was the lack of any instruction book apart from the set-up sheet (only necessarty for am absolute beginner) Setting up was generally ok, but there was the familiar problem of too many connectors bunched together, making it almast...

Acer Aspire M3800 Quad Core Desktop PC

The PC is superfast and impressive with numerous USB ports and does everthing it is supposed to with speed. All was set up and ready to go. Good looking casing with blue lights.

Some USBs and headphone socket are located on the top and not easy to get to as the tower is stored in a desk unit.
