GCN LAB REVIEW: Apple iMac MB418LL/A

ThE Apple iMac MB418LL/A is made for any user who prefers Mac OS X to Windows, though it has enough power, as we found out, to also drive Vista.

Apple iMac (2009) review

Apple has updated its iMac line of desktop PCs aimed at consumers, with Intel Core 2 Duo processors, new graphics tech, double the memory and up to 1TB of storage, but does the new model warrant you rushing out to buy? We get playing with the new...

Crisp HD screen, fully upgradeable innards, small footprint on desk, stylish

No wall mount option, no Blu-ray, hard drive not massive (but upgradable), no touchscreen interface

As a desktop computer the iMac is a very nice, very stylish machine that will give you decent performance and get the job done. Out of the box to connecting to the Internet requires just three cables to be plugged in - the power, the keyboard and the...

Like New, Everything Included

This imac is in like new condition, not a scratch anywhere. 100% solid and really, really nice! The monitor is the best I've ever seen.

I just received this today and absolutely love my imac. I can see why people marvel over the quality and workmanship on an apple machine. Snow Leopard is a work of art also. This mac came at an unbelievable price thanks to Apple and Newegg! I thank...

I should have bought this long ago

Love the iMAC

I love the display great for streaming vids. If it had a blu-ray player this would be the total package. Newegg.com super fast shipping. For the money you could get a powerhouse PC but in truth I like to spend my time doing what I want on my mac rather...

HUGE display did I mention huge? Solid desktop very stable does what it should when you want it to. Fast

As stated in other reviews the mighty mouse not fond of it and it gives me cramps in my hand when I use it. Not an improvement over the standard mouse. Pricey

Nothing like this screen!

I have nothing bad to say about my imac accept that I do not have enough time to use the fun features on it. I seem to just be working on it to much.

Minimum size I'd recommend for video editing--and a great computer!

I make my living making videos.  When I ordered my 24" iMac it was the largest iMac you could buy. Now that there are larger ones I don't think I'd be tempted to increase the size.  This is a great screen size for editing video.  Final Cut Pro and DVD...

The Apple IMac 24" provides the perfect combination of looks and performance in one package. Everything is built into the monitor (iSight, DVD drive, USB ports, Bluetooth etc) and it has a sleek aluminum bezel and aluminum stand. As far as performance...

Apple iMac MB418B/A (Refurb)

The Operating System on Macs is just so far ahead of the rest - it is designed to be intuitive and for the most part, it is. The screen on the iMac is fantastic, glossy, bright and a joy to look at. Programs run fast and have a very high stability.

The quality of the iMac is very high and so this never comes cheaply. Even though this is technically a Refurb unit (I suspect it was just old stock) it is still a high price compared with other PCs but you do get what you pay for so.....
