Apple iMac (24in)

The new 24in Apple iMac is underwhelming, but it remains a fine piece of industrial design.

Design remains superb, good performance, Apple attention to detail, all-in-one casing saves space

Exorbitant price, no included Apple remote, keyboard has no number pad, rear casing gets hot, only RAM can be upgraded, no adapters included for DVI or VGA connections

The upgrades to the latest Apple iMac are largely underwhelming, but the computer retains its excellently crafted design. It's still an outstanding machine, but the smaller keyboard, lack of included remote and the fact that no display adapters are...

Apple iMac (24in 2.8GHz)

Great design, quiet

Won't run the latest games at highest settings thanks to its graphics card

Apple shows that the melding of hardware and software makes for a very compelling computer. Sleek and cool-running, the latest Apple iMac is arguably the best one-stop PC you'll find, at home running Windows or its native Mac OS X.

Apple has updated its iMac line, keeping the metal-framed design from last year but upgrading internals such as processors and hard drives.

Apple iMac 24in review

Fruit looped

Design works well in any environment ; Screen quality, sonic prowess, M1 power ; Well priced, for a change!

No Centre stage on camera ; Keyboard still not backlit ; Some may find ports limited

It’s not easy to keep making iconic computers, but the iMac proves that Apple can do it, again and again!

Eye-catching and very well designed, the new iMac is an excellent all-in-one PC system.
