This VR-ready desktop is smaller than an Xbox

The Asus VivoPC X isn't just paying lip service to VR -- this $799 (roughly £650, AU$1,100) machine has two HDMI ports to make headset hookups easy.

Asus VivoPC X Review: Gorgeous Looks, Limited Performance

Taken on its own, the VivoPC X is quite the compelling package. It has one of the most attractive compact designs of any PC I've tested, and delivers solid VR-ready power for $799.

Wonderfully compact design ; Affordable ; VR-ready

Performance trails that of some competitors ; Limited configurations ; Can't upgrade components

The Asus VivoPC X offers solid, VR-ready performance within a stunningly small design, but this PC is held back by its lack of upgradability.

Asus VivoPC X review

Unbearable load times hold back this VR-ready gaming PC

Lightweight and portable ; Supports VR headsets ; Affordable

Slow hard drive ; No front USB ports ; Loud fans

The Asus VivoPC X gets you into VR without breaking the bank, but you may need to spend extra for a smoother experience.
