Asus Essentio CM5571-BR003 and HP Pavilion p6230y

Today we'll take a look at two desktop computers available in retail stores, the Asus Essentio CM5571-BR003 and the HP Pavilion p6230y. Both offer decent performance at a reasonable price.

Other than upgrading to wireless networking, the Essentio has capacity for other upgrades as well. There is room for an extra hard drive if the standard 750 GB of storage is not enough. There are also four RAM slots, allowing you to upgrade from the 6...

Best buy ever

I was about to buy new parts to upgrade my old pc, and saw this deal. You can't beat this packeage. the HD and the chipset alone is a value of over 400 dollars. recertified is the way to go.

This PC is great! It hase 4 ram slots, comes with 3 2gig chips in it. DDR to boot. What more could you ask for. At some point I may think about upgrading the Processor, but this 64 duel core works just fine. I added a power supply and 9600 gt graphics...

A few sata cables werent hooked up when it arrived, but I was changing components anyway. also the packaging could be better, but the tower looks great. The mother board could use better mounting. when I was adding components the board was tweaking a...

Great

We had a total computer melt down that coincided with SC2 release so we we looking for a new computer that was decent but didn't cost a ton of money and this has fit the bill perfectly. We put a Radeon 5770 video card in and it's done super well. We...

1TB hd, 6g ddr3, Asus. Was in perfect condition with all accesories (yes we bought refurbished). The keyboard and mouse were brand new (and still are because they both stayed in their plastic and went into the closet)

So far so good

Was a breeze to setup. First experience with Windows 7 and so far it's been a good one. Only issue so far was the integrated video card to LCD connection. Spotty at first, but after I updated the driver it became solid. The display on the TV is a...

HMMMMMMM!!!

I would buy another one for the price and normal quality i get from Asus. Let see how long it lasts. Think they should make it a year warranty instead of 90 days!

Very nice looking and running!! Not having to delete unwanted software is most exciting

Had to do a full reinstall of OS and drivers. The keyboard was missing. Not like i dont have a hundred laying around but would like to get what i pay for! Lets see if they send it to me

Bad Refurb

If I had known that the computer would arrive in this condition, I would have spent an extra $100 or $200 and bought a new system. Very disappointing.

Great price

Even for a refurbished system, the computer arrived very dirty. The mouse in particular was covered in grime. The hard drive was not plugged in and I had to open the case to connect it ; After setting up Windows, I discovered that a copy of the...
