Dell Vostro 260 Mini Tower Desktop,Price in India ,Features

There were a series of prophecies about the end of the desktop era, however, all that went down the drain! Desktops have survived the scare and have launched a counter attack on the laptops and the netbooks claiming there share of space in the stores...

Hundreds of business desktops eagerly wait to get a chance to flatter you with their performance but the Dell Vostro 260 mini tower desktop seems to be a tad different from the lot. The power hungry device when powered on gives you a superior...

Solid Hardware

Solid workstation for business environment. Bought almost 30 in the past 4 months. They are kicking but for us. Only quam I have is no serial port. But seems everythings going USB anyways. But some of our retail equipment needs serial

No serial port for older retail equipment. (this doesn't matter to many, but makes my life easier than buying adapters that hardly work correctly.)

Not good

Like to get a refund but only can get the replacement for this item. Neweggs still the place to buy tho.

Not bad if it stay on but after 30 minutes or an hour of uses it turn blue screen then turn it self back on

This is my second one after return the first one for the same problem. I may have to try to return this one to because this is second time after about 40 minutes of used then it went blue, turn it self off then back on again

Price vs Performance = win

Purchased 6 of these for PC replacements and so far are great machines. Upgraded to 4GB for an extra 10$ and purchased 120 OCZ SSDs on sale to go with them and out a total of $460 per machine. Fresh install of windows OEM and you can't beat the speed...

Hyperthreaded dual core i3. 64bit Windows 7 Professional. For price these things are fantastic. Bought them on sale for less than $370 which brings these to about the best PC you can buy at the price

Small HDD only 250GB but in a business environment you shouldn't be saving locally any ways. only 2GB of ram. But an extra 2GB of ram is 10$ so again not a big issue

Mis Labeled

Nice little business workstation. Very quiet, compact and very quick. Great price with windows 7 pro, only had to remove a few programs that i didn't want. Not a lot of bloatware

It came with a core I3 sticker on the front. I thought newegg sent me the wrong product. Went into the controll panel and system info, shows a core I5 as advertised. Just the wrong sticker on the front ; On board video is junk but easy to add a card...

Gaming!

For the price, if you get rid of all the bloatware, pop some ram in, add a external or internal hdd, and a video card, you can play almost any game you can think of on this thing, if you need more than this you're not from this planet, it may look...

This thing is built for business style use but let me tell you it's got the ability to be a powerhouse, 64 bit os, and compatibility modes for 32 bit software, I loaded it to its max with 8 gigs of ram, and threw a 2 terabyte size drive on it, and I...

Stock it lags ever so slightly, but the ability to make it lighting fast is there, once you drop 8 gigs in the system for ram and a video card it will blow you away ; It also only comes with a Windows install disc, and a Drivers disc, so if you mod, or...

Best bang for the buck

Getting them here is alot easier than going through Dell's sales reps. Cheap price and no questions ask is what i like.

I have done alot of IT purchasing in the last 6 months for my company and these guys just do the job. Out of about 40 i have had one motherboard go bad and dell shipped out a replacment overnight and i got it back up and running in no time. I do not...

Only 2GB Ram versus 4. It's completely suffice for my office users now so this will be an upgrade a few years down the road. Had it had 4Gb from the start i would consider them obsolete in 6 years with no upgrades needed

Great for office workers with IT support

If you hate Dell's business purchasing and just want a box fast and don't mind fixing it yourself if it breaks (or just replacing it) get these.

These are great for deploying a bunch to an office. They're CHEAP and come with a Windows 7 Professional license. There's only 2GB of RAM but they installed 64bit Windows which makes future RAM upgrades easy

The warranty will suck bad for business customers. This not an issue if you have IT support though
