Gateway E-155C

The E-155C is Gateway's nicest convertible tablet notebook yet. The small dark unit is stylish, easy-to-use, and sturdily crafted. The price-- $1850 as of August 15, 2007, for our test unit--isn't bad for this class of portable. But so long as Lenovo...

Nicely crafted, Easy pen input

Screen could be a little brighter, Slow, with poor battery life

This is one of Gateway's handsomest efforts, but its battery life is mediocre for a laptop that doubles as a note-taking device.

Gateway E-155C

A no-nonsense 12-inch convertible tablet, the Gateway E-155C fits an optical drive into its tiny frame, but it skimps on amenities and battery life.

The Gateway E-155C tablet PC has a lightweight design and a bidirectional hinge; you can use a stylus or fingertip control with its touch screen.

No quick-launch buttons or media control buttons; slightly larger chassis than other thin-and-light tablets; outperformed by other tablets.

Gateway E-155C Thin and Light Convertible Tablet PC Review

The curved off edges and overall clean look are just great, I can't see anybody disagreeing with the look the E-155C offers

Has Wacom digitizer and touchscreen ; Soft palm rest ; Responsive keyboard and touchpad ; Battery power indicator light ; Screen able to rotate either direction into tablet mode ; Overall quiet and cool running ; Very nice design, professional and...

Spring-loaded pen gets stuck in silo ; Screen wobbles some because hinge isn't secure enough ; Screen is grainy and washed out due to extra layers used for touchscreen and active input ; Screen does not orientate itself to user perspective when rotated...

The E-155C is a solid Tablet. The chassis and overall build is sturdy, the appearance is nice and you don't have to worry about those dirty fingerprints so much since there's no glossy finish treatment. I wish the hinge was a little stronger, so the...
