HP XW6600 and XW4600 Workstations Review

Lately the SlashGear test bench has been playing home to a number of midrange workstations from HP. The 4600 and 6600 ranges from low end to mid-level quad

Review: HP xw4600 Workstation

The HP xw4600 workstation is the latest in a line of workstations from HP. This is not one of their high end machines or their low end machines. The xw4600 is positioned to fill the mid range slot.

I think this is a great system. I am very pleased with it especially since this machine was built with cost in mind. The price tag for this system, as configured, comes out just under $2500. Maxing out the system by switching to a quad core processor,...

HP xw4600 Workstation with LP3065 30 LCD Monitor (Cadalyst Labs Review)

An in-depth look at a quiet, powerful, and affordable workstation.

For this review, Cadalyst Labs evaluated a workstation/monitor combination for a longer period of time and in a significantly broader context than we normally do for workstation reviews. Cadalyst will evaluate only a few systems per year in this...

HP xw4600 Workstation

The HP xw4600 Workstation performed well above my expectations and with the flexibility of being able to customize the machine to your own specs online.

Customizable; energy efficient; very quiet

Needs a better sound card

I would recommend the xw4600 to anyone on a reasonable budget who's looking for a machine designed with creative professionals in mind.—Bruce Bicknel

HP xw4600

Even for a single-processor model, the xw4600 has a dinky chassis that will slip under even the smallest desk - and it's well-designed, too.

Small but capacious and well-designed case ; very low cost ; excellent graphics card

Single drive reduces performance

We were also very impressed with the xw4600's price. Next to the Imagine X64 price tag of £1,465 plus VAT, our xw4600 is an absolute bargain. If you're on a tight budget, this is an excellent choice - and with more powerful components, it has the...

HP xw4600 review

In contrast to the hulking CAD2 Vision DQX-SE, HP's latest workstation is a svelte tower, no larger than a traditional office computer. Even for a single-processor model, the xw4600 has a dinky chassis that will slip under even the smallest desk – and...

Very nice machine

First refurb I have bought. I am VERY pleased with the machine. great value for the price. Very snappy. Heck the win7 pro OS alone would cost half the price if you were building a new low-end machine.

Quite fast, interior of my particular machine looked like it was never run.. not a trace of dust on the fans. Full size case

The case was a bit scuffed, but that's what you expect on a refurb ; minor nitpick is that it does not seem to be able to power on from the mouse. There is a BIOS setting but does not seem to work ; I have updated windows, installed three printers,...
