Tricky to set up, but excellent when set up

I have the Shuttle SN27P2 as well, and it was much easier to set up and offered much more expansion options, albeit is larger and supports AMD X2 only.

Small size, quiet, has everything you need really

Setting up a video card with it was tricky ; I found out from here that you needed to change the jumper settings from HDMI (default) to PCIex. Also, needed to change that in the bios. The system also hung a few times with the RAM I used. I had 2 GB...

Interesting Product

This device can support a fast processor although I am weary about its heat sink (too small for CPU fan) Overall, this device was worth what I had paid.

The HDMI output is a plus for those who don't like the hassle of DVI-HDMI converters(Video card not reccomended for 1080p). It has a small footprint and setup is fairly simple.

PCIe and the HDMI output cannot be used together. There is a jumper switch on MB to enable each. Motherboard expansion is very limited to one PCI card.

Can't go wrong!

Buy it!

4th Shuttle. This box is easy to build. The quietest shuttle so far. e6550 cpu runs ""cold"" at stock speeds. Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ; 2 gig Kingston ddr2 800. 1333fsb will support upgraded cpu's

None. cept maybe if you're in need of a dual slotted video card

Great, Smile Maker

Running a C2D 6550, 2x1GB 667 DDR2, Vista 64, Samsung HD (400GB) & DVD burner, rosewill cardreader. runs stock speeds 41C, 47C.

Great size case for a htpc. Ample room for a 8600 or 2600 (all you need imo). room for one HD, one cardreader and one dvd burner. Made me smile while putting together and at first run (everything worked oob).

little room for the cables, partially block the cpu cooler fan... must find a way to route those away from there. Only one SATA cable included (3 connectors on MB). Needed to run to the store to get a second (HD, DVD are SATA). Needed to file the screw...

Update

After using the Shuttle for over a month now I have found this shuttles PSU does handle the 8800GTS fully stable with an overclocked system at 3.4, I have had a number of Shuttles over the last decade and this is the best by FAR. Minor fixes like a...

This review is an update to the first, i reviewed here about a month ago.

I have also included a response to the person below about the 8800GTS 640m card not fitting in this Shuttle.
