DOA

Doesn't seem right that I have to pay return shipping on a DOA product that they sent to me. Therefore making it cost more than I would have paid.

none since it was DOA

Cons are it was DOA, and also that newegg will not give a refund only replacement on this product

Pretty darn good

My current setup with this barebone is: - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 GHz - 2 x 2 GB DDR2-800 - WD Black 640 GB 7200 rpm - Pioneer DVD-R/RW drive - ATI Radeon HD 3870 512 MB

Small footprint, very quiet even under load, BIOS allows for some overclocking (nothing insane tho), decent CPU and case cooling, almost all the connectivity in the world, attractive (save for SLI/Crossfire), versatile as a mid-range gaming box or an...

Power supply is relatively weak and will severely limit your video card upgrades (now or in the future) ; the box accomodates a dual-slot card without any problem, however you are restricted by the wattage the PSU can supply and the single PCIe power...

Great for HTPC

I bought the case thinking that there was no external 3.5" bays, because the specs said 2 3.5" internal and one 5.25" external. Actually, one of the two 3.5" bays can either be used as an internal bay, or the front cover can be removed and it can be...

Works like a dream with Ubuntu 9.04 (64-bit). Can run full-screen (1360x768 via D-SUB, didn't try HDMI) HQ YouTube perfectly on with the onboard video, using flashplugin-installer or gnash. Ubuntu detected all hardware without a hitch. ICE heatpipe...

It's hard to find fault with this system. The fan is not the quietest, but it's not that bad either. Not sure if it's just my case or not, but there is a slight bulge on the top of the case (right above the DVD drive), so that it is not quite flush...

Efficient and Compact Desktop Computer

Shuttle isn't always perfect (I have a 2 year old SD02X10, that performed like a slow laptop), but the SG45H7 is quite good.

I've found this to be a great machine for desktop computing, because I was looking for something compact and efficient, as opposed to a flashy gaming computer. We just purchased our third, today. See configuration at the end ; The Intel G45 chipset...

The PCI-E x16 slot must be used for video, because the Intel G45 chipset inactivates the integrated video when the PCI-E slot is used. But as another reviewer commented, for desktop computing, why would you need to use the PCI-E slot for anything other...
