Shuttle XPC M1000

Good looks aren't enough to make the Shuttle XPC M1000 our top choice for a living-room Media Center PC.

Pentium M processor. Quiet. Front-mounted, removable hard drive bay. Clean lines on front panel. Informative front display. HDTV/ATSC tuner. Well-designed wireless keyboard. Good mix of A/V inputs and outputs.

In use, removable hard drive sticks out a bit. Not enough RAM for the price. No HDMI-out port. A bit pricy.
